That seems like a really fun yet versatile list of movies to enjoy there . I definitely agree with watching before the Christmas season the movie - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation from 1989 . That's another favorite of mine as well ( especially the music choices within it too ) . Thanks so much rateater for your reply .

Hannah and Her Sisters - it starts with Thanksgiving and ends two years later with Thanksgiving. And it features some sentimental music.

MIRACLE ON 34th STREET (1947) -- I know, it's considered a classic Christmas movie, but it does start out at the Macy's parade (and little Susan does manipulate her mom into inviting neighbor Fred for Thanksgiving dinner).

I believe this movie was recently on the channel TCM ( Turner Classic Movies ) a few nights ago but unfortunately I missed that showing of it . Perhaps TCM will show this one again soon . It seems like a really good one from your description here as well . Thanks so much Sulla for this movie recommendation and your reply .

Not a movie.
The infamous, diabolical, sensational, rib splitting Thanksgiving episode of Mr. Obvious.
Which reminds me, it's time to find it and get my thrills.

For most of my life I would watch James Bond movies around Thanksgiving, then Drive became my Thanksgiving movie for a few years. I'd say I'm at the point in my young life where I'm stripping myself away from traditions like this. I did go see Lady Bird, Three Billboards and Florida Project today. Excellent movies.

You've never seen it!! Oh it's a classic. Terry Thomas at his villainous best. (And great for many Brits of a certain age because it features so many TV comedy regulars) Would make a fine, if lengthy, double bill with Annakin's other great all star race film Monte Carlo Or Bust
