You do realise you posted a video taking the piss out of Americans. But you can see what it means to them. America loves football. Where I come from, the boys on the playground play football, and the girls play catch (which is essentially American Football). The only difference is the girls don't feel the need to dress up head to toe in padding to play catch. So essentially, a British school girl is tougher than an NFL player. This flew over your head. It's OK. This is my view of the American soccer fan - embarrassing small niche soccer fanbase in this country. But to each their own - I have hobbies/interests others don't enjoy. It's a very small niche of over the top fanatics here - and the league/sport will never become as popular as the NBA, NFL, MLB. 'Catch'? - correct me if I'm wrong - but 'we' tackle over here - you're not allowed to get hit over there - some tough sport ya got there Bub So far just in local leagues (mens and ladies) this season I have been at three games held up or abandoned waiting for ambulances to arrive to take a badly wounded player off the pitch. I've seen many a playing career ended by serious injury. Last season a player in our city league was killed by a head injury. Plenty tough mate, and just a pair of shin pads. Just last week, a team I support had a player with a broken leg told an ambulance would be 4 hours. He had to be carted off the pitch without a stretcher and bundled in a car to hospital.

The remoteness of your shitty village and the lack of medical services available at your team's shoddy ground doesn't prove much about the toughness of soccer, so I'm not sure why you brought that up.

That's quite funny actually. Although obviously stupid. Funnily enough the beginning bit actually reminds me of the first time I saw an advertising campaign for NFL in the late 80s, man was I hyped for that, stayed up till late, but boy was I disappointed after the first 10 or 20 minutes when NOTHING was happening, like literally nothing, the clock barely even moved! Turned it straight off and went to bed.
