Why was the terrorist attack staged like a bank robbery? That's terrible writing.I think you just answered your own question.

No, it's not clear that he's out of ammo because he didn't keep pulling the trigger. He started firing at his left and stopped firing when he reached his right. But he didn't keep pulling the trigger so it's not certain that there wasn't more ammo in the machine gun. Way to deflect there. You said they set the bomb after Wonder Woman burst thru, but, as you always are, you were wrong because they had already set the countdown before she burst through. What's the matter, can't admit you're wrong? Even if there was more Ammo in the gun, she could have EASILY handled the situation without flash frying the guy. Wonder Woman 'believes' in murder.

On topic, going over it again there were some truly wasted scenes and just silly moments.:
1) The WW opening with her stopping those terrorists in London...what a waste of Roose Bolton. And there's WW killing the guy unnecessarily, and how the bomb that was supposed to blow up several blocks did far less damage.
And the gang overall, they could easily have been part of Darkseid' Earth forces (Intergang, or the Darkseid Cult) but instead they're nothing.
2) The JL just leaving the 3rd Mother Box lying around for Steppenwolf to grab. Utter incompetence.
3) Superman making all the other members utterly redundant. On his own he'd have taken out Steppenwolf to the point they wouldn't have needed Cyborg to interface with the boxes. There's no need for the League.
4) Batman's gambit being that Superman's lust would overpower his anger.
5) WW's fluctuating powers. If her sword could really cut through anything, why didn't she try to cut Steppenwolf's head off? He wasn't terribly fast, and he wasn't even wearing armor around his face and neck!

No, nice try, but watch it again. It's not clear that he's out of ammo because he didn't keep pulling the trigger. He started firing at his left and stopped firing when he reached his right. But he didn't keep pulling the trigger so it's not certain that there wasn't more ammo in the machine gun. Considering the gun he was using carries only about 20-30 rounds per magazine and the long stretch of people from left to right he was firing at, he was definitely out of ammo. If he had bottomless magazines, sure he could still have ammunition, but I thought the DCEU pride themselves on being more grounded than the MCU. So there's no way he'd have more ammo. Considering that he was wearing a long black overcoat, he could've easily been carrying more guns or more explosives so Wonder Woman did the right thing in taking him down before he could cause any more damage. But it's not surprising to see that MCU fans here once again defend a terrorist who threatened to kill innocent people (many of them children) just like they defended the terrorist Howard Stark and the double-murderer Bucky and the tyrant Captain America.

He was still holding a machine gun so he was still a threat. Also, moments earlier he had tried to blow up the building so he obviously was willing to die. So who knows if he might have been carrying more explosives on him? He was a threat that needed to be taken out.
And they weren't robbing the bank. The 1 guy said they were terrorists. They were trying to blow up the building and kill all the hostages (many of them children).
Why was the terrorist attack staged like a bank robbery? That's terrible writing. And hadn't our terrorist friend expended his machine gun clip just prior to his summary execution by Wonder Woman? That scene was just a WW showcase it had nothing to do with the plot otherwise. No, it's unclear if he was out of ammo because he didn't keep pulling the trigger. Also, it's not surprising to see that MCU fans here once again defend a terrorist who threatened to kill innocent people (many of them children) just like they defended the terrorist Howard Stark and the double-murderer Bucky and the tyrant Captain America.
And that scene was important to the plot. It shows that violent crime has increased a lot since the death of Superman.

It was a cool scene. Some writing flaws but I enjoyed it.

I know it's hard to accept but, we're all going to to have to face the fact the Wonder Woman is a murderer. She will kill you before trying to disarm you or allowing you to receive due process afforded to you according to the rules and regulations of the country in which you reside. She was not granted the right to kill by any known authority other than her conscious. She is very much like the Punisher.
