I saw his goodbye thread when it was 19 minutes old. It disappeared shortly after that. He said Admin considered him toxic and that he would be banned soon. When you started your thread the name was different so I couldn't be sure if you meant him or not.
And that's all I know. And if anyone is wondering, I don't ever remember reporting Aj. Although I found him duplicitous and annoying at times, it was never enough to be reportable as best as I can recall. If I ever complained about him it must have been on the old board a long time ago, but I still don't remember doing it. He must have rubbed someone the wrong way.

Well i want to dig, and I want an honest answer as to why he was banned from the relgion board as he was one of the niceste posters. What did he do to get banned from here? Or was it personal? between You the admin and him? Cause he exposed the admin of this board. The Admin deleted the entire Indian Cinema Board for a while. AJ was a regular poster there. |

I thought it might be because, when JohnTheHumble stepped in on a dispute, AJ responded that the deal was that the admin let this board alone. But who knows...
I thought IMDb would be around forever; it's not. Some of the movie stuff is archived somewhere, maybe... I have stopped counting on "the Internet is forever". Hell, maybe someday I will get banned, or just decide that discussions here don't really promote understanding between people of different opinions, but only cause arguments, and decide to spend my time elsewhere. Too many ad hominems, not enough serious discussion, too many trolls...
Sad, really - the Internet has such potential for promoting understanding and a 'live and let live' atmosphere in a contentious world, but it is the product of humans, and they are a contentious species.

When you got banned from starting new threads, he posted some really vicious stuff towards you, and I stopped communicating with him for a while because of it. He made a few other snide comments towards you, but never directly attacked again. I didn't follow the old board on IMDb as closely as this one, was there some past interaction that started it? I truly couldn't understand why he was so hard on you, and I hadn't seen him do that before to you. |

I have supported the Admin till recently and him barring pimpinainteasy from posting on Indian cinema, but I am sorry to say banning Aj_June was not a cool move. Aj is known for his suaveness and he is always quiet calculated and composed even during heated debates. He is an expert on religions and Hindu culture and has been a passionate member of this board. While I'm not going into that redundant freespeech debate, members of this board deserve an explanation for banning any poster, let alone an ex-moderator. This looks like a case of admin wanting to show who the boss is. |
