It's better than most of the MCU movies. The Winter Soldier and Spider-Man 2 are just so good that I can't decide which is better.

It's definitely better than most and better than the average MCU movie but not better than them all.
If Spider-man 2 was a MCU movie them it would be in the Top 5.

Didn't like Spider-man 2 because of Raimi's film making style. It's overly corner. Each movie in that trilogy (to me) devolved as he made Sony more money and they gave him more free reign. You see more and more Evil Dead as it goes along.

Spider-Man 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a perfect example of something that transcends the entire CBM genre. The MCU has NEVER made something of that caliber.

Eh, it's got its major plot problems. And this "transcend the genre" mindset it utterly wrong-headed anyways. It's like saying that Dr Who should try to transcend its genre and its wrong for not doing it all the time. |
