Hey all!
I noticed there were no posts in this forum, just wondering if there were any martial arts fans out there?
I'm a huge fan of the Shaw Brothers movies and love some of the 60s/70s/80s martial arts stars like Ti Lung, Alexander Fu Sheng, Jackie Chan, Gordon Liu and Jet Li.
My favourite Shaw Brothers movie has to be The Avenging Eagle (1978), does anyone else have a favourite?

Not a huge Shaw Brothers fan really, it bothers me how set-bound their productions usually are. However the Shaws did undeniably produce some great kung fu & wuxia. Even their lesser movies are often kinda fun to watch if you're in the right mood. The Jade Tiger (1977) and Human Lanterns (1982) are my two all-time favorites. Holy Flame of the Martial World (1983) is a great trash movie that everyone should watch.
The Hot, the Cool, & the Vicious is probably my favorite kung fu movie overall.

Not fan(I am when I was a child), but I like martial arts movies, I like most of the Jet Li's 90's movies and Fearless is my only favourite movie of him after 2000, I also like Donnie Yen's 1st IP Man movie. Now it's really hard to find a good martial arts films after 2000. Yeah I agree, I love Jet Li's early 90s stuff, I also loved Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yien Biao they made some good movies in the 90s.

I like some when I am in the mood. Love the 70's feel and flair of ENTER THE DRAGON-73'. Also really enjoyed WAY OF THE DRAGON-72' and THE BIG BOSS-71' is also entertaining in a cheesy Chinese kind of way. Not so sold on FIST OF FURY-72'.
I don't mind KING BOXER aka FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH-72' and for the 80'S, I enjoy Jackie Chan in BATTLE CREEK BRAWL-80, REVENGE OF THE NINJA-83' and PRAY FOR DEATH-85'. Chuck Norris also had a nifty little martial arts psycho\horror thriller with SILENT RAGE-82'.

I found some big 10-dvd pack with a bunch of martial arts films like Street Fighter 1, 2, & so on, also had some Bruce Lee films, those were always great.
Though not a purely martial arts film, Bloodsport was pretty popular around my neighborhood as a kid.

I remember Bloodsport now, its the one that's supposedly based on claims made by the martial artist Frank Dux about an underground kumite.

I'm watching the Raid 1 and 2 this weekend. Beautiful quick scenes. And I'm a pretty big mma fan. I don't practice one because, you know, getting hit hurts.
