For me, it is most definitely The Aristocats (1970). Nobody seems to mention this film when discussing Disney animated classics and you can't find merchandise for the film anymore. But it was one of the many great Disney films I liked watching on VHS when I was younger and it is severely underrated.

With sdrew13163, The Great Mouse Detective is what came to mind immediately--lots of fun, very amusing, bravura voice performances, great backgrounds--and, with politicidal, I also thought of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. (Is Hunchback really underrated? I don't know, I'm genuinely asking.) One more addition that came to mind is Robin Hood, which certainly has its flaws but which was a favorite of mine growing up and remains so to this day--it's where I learned the legend, in fact. Oh, and I'll throw in the cheerful Sword in the Stone as well.

The Emperors New Groove is another one for me. I feel like it never gets talked about.

I used to watch that one all the time when I was young. Same with The Sword in the Stone (I think I watched that one so many times that I probably have most of it memorised/know it off by heart).

Yep, exactly, Chalice_Of_Evil. Like you, I watched that one all the time when I was young. I guess that's not all that surprising, as I was a young boy and then these choices-- Robin Hood, The Sword in the Stone, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, even The Great Mouse Detective--certainly beat out princess movies for me (though I did always appreciate Snow White)! Now that they tell me I'm more mature (what poppycock!), I'm a great fan of all of 'em, naturally.

Salzmank, it's better recognized than when it first came out. But I remember a helluva lot of backlash due to the religious elements and darker themes.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Tarzan, The Princess and the Frog, The Fox and the Hound, Treasure Planet, The Rescuers Down Under, The Great Mouse Detective, The Rescuers, and The Rocketeer are also underrated, but not much as Hunchback (at least to me).

Ahh, mea culpa, then; I'd assumed that the OP meant Disney's animated films.
If we're also including their live-action films, I'd put The Rocketeer, Dick Tracy, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Davy Crockett and the River Pirates, Darby O'Gill and the Little People, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Return to Oz, Tower of Terror, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, National Treasure, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and The Lone Ranger. There's a good number of these I like...

It's not Disney but, my God, is the 'The Prince of Egypt' damn near perfect. It's masterpiece in my eyes and no one gives it the praise it deserves.

The Fox and the Hound could well be my all-time favorite Disney animation, but gets usually written off as one of their lesser, routine animated movies.
Brother Bear and The Princess and the Frog are easily their best later day animations (before CGI era) but don't seem to get much praise either. I haven't seen Atlantis yet but it seems to have a steady cult following these days.
