It won't be long now, they always said that by the end of the year they would have X-Men & Fantastic Four back at Marvel Studios/Disney.

Disney should just buy X-Men and Avatar. Fox can then sell off the scraps to bidders. Disney would have too much IP.

If it happens Donald McHandegg will have another huge embarrassment to add to his already long list of failures. He is the one who stated X-men and F4 would never ever go back to Marvel.
So you see that alone makes that I cant wait for that to happen. The guy should just self delete if this happens.

I'd be fine with it, I'd actually like to see the X-men and Fantastic Four in the MCU.
I like the X-men movies just fine but I'd like to see a fresh interpretation of it now.

I'd lie to see stuff like the X-Men fighting villains who aren't Magneto, evil mutants or mutant hating humans. Imagine something outside the box like them fighting someone like Ghost Rider.

I definitely agree with this even if I'm not sure about having them in the MCU.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Ideally, Marvel should own the rights to all of their properties, but given this success of the MCU, several of the X-Men movies, and even Deadpool – and given the fact that they are clearly separate universes – I'm not sure suddenly combining all of these entities is a good idea. Time and effort went into crafting them all and is a big reason for their success. Cramming everything together, not preparing, etc. is frankly indicative of why DC is failing.

With Infinity War wrapping up all the ongoing plotlines for the MCU, they can easily have the next big film after it (once they get the X-Men and FF back) be some reality altering event that merges the universes together. Only certain characters like Dr Strange would remember the old timeline and the new bunch of movies would explore this new universe wherein Mutants have existed for years alongside non-mutant powered beings.

I know that negotiations have been happening on and off, and of course Disney would want to bring the X-Men into the MCU. And it could be awesome!
But... I don't see why FOX would sell them back. Why? They're doing great with them. We can argue about whether or not they're good movies, but as far as profit Fox has made money with them and can continue to do so. I don't see the advantage for Fox.
I actually doubt it will happen. But if it does I'll be excited to see X-Men in the MCU.
OMG! X-Men vs. Avengers!!! In a movie?! Biggest movie yet!

Deadpool is the only one that concerns me, though. Disney never would've made Logan but that story is over now, anyway. I've enjoyed maybe 2 X-Men movies (other than Logan and Deadpool): X2 and First Class. So to me we aren't losing much as an audience if they reboot. And I have faith that Marvel will do it right; introduce the FF in their own standalone and then integrate them into the larger story of Phase 4. Feige has already stated it's going to be heavier on the cosmic side-- perfect for the FF. Hell, have the X-Men fight the brood or deal with the Shi'ar. So many possibilities here. The odd man out is Deadpool. That property didn't have to be R rated, I've always maintained that. But the genie is out of the bottle, it would be awful to handcuff the creative potential now. Of course none of this is official in the least so let's wait and see.

I think the way they should do it is make a Fantastic Four movie and make Kang the villain. Have him go back a long way in time and create a small army of super powered people. When he is defeated, along with his army, have the F4 come back to a different world where mutants are now a thing in the world. Have it that they are the descendants of Kang's army. You keep everything, for the most part, the same as it happened in previous movies. Except now you add in that mutants were a thing. Put Xavier and Erik at the battle of New York and that's where he was crippled.

That sounds kinda messy to be honest. I can envision a really cheesy introduction. Some mystical space time hole opens up and a bunch of characters that we know who they are, but have never really met in the MCU step through it kind of like this:
