Suddenly turned into a box office game.
Big Sam v Moyes.
Although to be fair, not much Big Sam can do to effect this one.
What are your hopes for the game. Me? I hope they both lose.

Couldn't give a shit.
Tooting and Mitcham United - Corinthian Casuals probably most interesting game tonight (just because I have a Tooting fan I know).

Talk about being caught between a cock and a mard-face... I'm with you, I want them both to lose.
I'll go 2-1. For all that I dislike what Big Sam has come to represent, at least initially the Everton squad will sit up and take notice so there'll be a significant new-manager bounce for a while.
I give it six weeks honeymoon and then it'll be shit again.

Well, Unsworth will take charge tonight. Alladyce will be a spectator. Pep talk for Unsworth? Nah, too busy drooling over contract.

I give it six weeks honeymoon and then it'll be shit again. I actually think it will be the other way round. Big Sam will have a really rocky December, I haven't looked at their fixtures yet, but I'm thinking 3 or 4 defeats, then he'll start to turn the ship round in January (that's if he hasn't lost the fans, the board and the players by then). Thing is, if it was just a good motivational talk Everton needed, or a rocket up their arse, then Unsworth surely could have done that by now and you would have seen some kind of reaction. Their problems lie deeper than that. Big Sam has got a great eye for detail, like Mourinho, he's a pragmatist, but it will take him 5 to 6 weeks to get that team defensively well drilled. It doesn't just happen overnight, it happens on the training ground. Then from there he has a basis to build on. But until that is sorted, I think it is still gonna be a rough few weeks. That said though, I did have Everton down for the win before I even knew about Big Sam, because it is easy to forget today, West Ham are in the shit as well with dreadful form.

I predict that my 0-0 prediction for this game is going to be considerably less wrong than my 0-0 prediction for last night's game at Vicarage Road. It's going to be shite, but I'll watch it anyway, as there's fuck all else on.

It's going to be shite, but I'll watch it anyway, as there's fuck all else on. 1-1 would have been my second choice prediction (after a slim Everton win). But when two shits collide, often hard to know which shit will emerge most shittest.

The large pile of library books sitting on a shelf to my left is looking more appealing the more I think about it.

Might be the worst match in PL history.

I've just noticed that MOTD is on tonight, I'll record that and watch it in the morning. I'm sure they'll manage to cram the 14 seconds of highlights from Goodison into a 100 minute show.

Joe Hart saves Rooney's penalty, the ball sits up nicely for Rooney to nod it past the helpless Hart.
1-0 Everton

I think I went for a home win based purely on how much of a sad-sack Moyes is. I can just picture him leaving the ground, head low, bundle on a stick, shuffling away like an emo teen on suicide-watch.
Make that 2-0

West Ham been a lot better, but missed a penalty and rattled the bar. Sven Goran-Eriksson once said he'd rather be a lucky manager than a good manager. David Moyes doesn't appear to be either. 3-0 Everton.
