he ain't bad in the booth He's just such a boy scout, you want to punch him. But I did meet him once at a charity event and, similar to Curtis Granderson, couldn't have been any friendlier, more gracious or willing to talk to everyone who came up to him. I give him props for that. It's the little things. The human things. |

The human things. know who else is a blast in the booth? for Fox now. i can see how some can find this nauseating - but he grew on me real quick. just a real positive and fun guy - nothing but positivity - Tebow Vommitting-esque to some (but I love Tebow too) Nick Swisher. He was having a blast during the World Series like he was partaking. Breath of fresh air. Bring these guys on - I'm staying tuned in.  |

Come to think of it, Swisher is a great answer to your thread from a few weeks ago - I'd hate player x if he wasn't on my team. He was never on my team, but I fucking hated him when he was on the Yankees. He was, like, the shittiest decent player of all time. It defied explanation that he was capable of contributing and I wanted to watch him fall into a sinkhole every time he played. But if I were a Yankee fan, I'd have loved it. |

But if I were a Yankee fan, I'd have loved it. after the Phils run from 2007-2011 there was talk about throwing massive coin at BJ Upton and Swisher...... i always said, 'GODDD NOOOO!!!!' start over and start from scratch. rebuild from the bottom up. i'm very disappointed in the rebuild thus far (especially Franco) - but that being said maybe I'm being Mr. Gloom and Doom because I miss that core of Utley, Howard, Rollins, Hamels. got a crapload of cash. Maybe Williams, Alfaro, Hoskins will pan out and you can build around that. and who knows. maybe j.p. crawford proves everyone wrong. good luck to your mets. rooting for the braves and nats too (can't seem to root for the fish despite the 2 WS - still little history) - it's better when they're all good. i.e. late September is meaningful |
