I know that concept works well with movies, but I don't usually find myself describing music that way. I was trying to think of some instances and the best I can come up with is 'Kiss' - "I Was Made for Loving You".... It's an absolutely atrocious song, yet I love it.
Can anyone else come up with some music that you would consider "so bad it's good"?

I was thinking of this subject just last night. Blue Moon by the Marcels came to mind.

I'm not sure where to go with this one, to be honest. What do you mean by bad, can't play, or have no concept of their own stupidity? You know my tastes, I love the naive stuff like Jandek, Maher Shalal Hash Baz, etc, but I also like a bit of cheesy shite. Wouldn't go as bad as Kiss though, y'know, I've got some standards, and some kind of self-respect.
So here's some from either category:
Full album! Probably the best shambolic folk thing ever:

How can anyone take Sid Caesar's group seriously? (I thank our old friend Rollo Treadway for posting this on the old board.)

So yeah, Candlemass fits in perfectly with what I was going for. Love the 'Nightfall' album, btw, I need to buy a hard copy of that. Ha!, Glad you've still got some self respect, I would expect nothing less.... even though you do own some Whitesnake.

Dunno if I entirely buy into the concept, but whenever I listen to either of these two songs, I do sometimes find myself thinking that I really ought to be listening to something better - The lamest, whitest, smuggest, most entitled and painfully middle class rap song ever - The Icelandic Macarena - First I've heard of that Asher Roth tune. I'd classify that under "Seppuku is preferable to ever listening to _______ again".

For me probably "Total Eclipse of the Heart", the bombast and theatrics are pushed to such an insane level, you just get caught up in the ridiculousness of it. Its fun about once every couple of years.

Nice! I don't know how much I like the tune, but the video saves it anyhow.

Bad songs are a dime a dozen, but So Bad It’s Good is a rare discovery.
My choice is actor Richard Harris’ version of “MacArthur Park” by songwriter Jim Webb who also wrote the three Glen Campbell hits, "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman", and "Galveston." Those are Not Bad numbers, but “MacArthur Park” has to be heard to be believed.
