Most famous as Gomer Pyle on 60's TV, but he was also an accomplished singer. I actually worked with him briefly on a cruise ship in 1999. He was so shy but friendly to all the guests. Rest in peace.

Shame that he passed away just as they are airing the Carol Burnett 50th anniversary show.
I can remember one time during my string bass lesson, my teacher stopped to turn on his TV program to see if he could catch a glimpse of his kids in the audience. My teacher said his sister in law was on the show that night. I figure she was a dancer or something, but I later found out the sister in law was Metropolitan Opera mezzo Marilyn Horne.
Hope Jim gets a good spot in the Heavenly Choir.

It's very sad news to hear about Jim Nabors' passing. I loved him as Gomer Pyle on both THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW and on his own spin-off series. And he had the most beautiful baritone voice since Howard Keel.
I hope that he's having a happy reunion in the afterlife with the deceased actors of both shows.

He was charming and funny as Gomer on the Andy Griffith show. Never cared for the spin off.
Enjoyed seeing him with Carol and wish he had done more musical. Theater.
Rest in Hope sir. You gave a lot of joy.

It was only for an afternoon, I was there with him and he sold and signed a ton of CDs and posed for photos with everyone and made them laugh. He was a real cool guy. Farewell Mr. Nabors.

I happened across an episode of Gomer Pyle this evening. Aunt Bee came for a visit and felt the need to tidy up the barracks.

I remember how surprised I was the first time that I heard him sing. It was beautiful. I had only heard his "Gomer voice," before that.
