And not just that but a part of the beginning for a new XMEN universe of said XMEN movies with a R rating.
Our bottom line MO is, how can we push this into new ground? A little bit, but still make it entertaining? [But] what I love about what Simon Kinberg and Fox and the X-Men people have done with Deadpool and Logan — it took a while to get there, maybe 10 years — but they are going to go hard R. And we’re going to take this superhero thing and really just push it into a new genre. So we’re working with Simon Kinberg on an X-Men property.”

Yeah. Good luck with that. Why not? Deadpool and Logan were. Maybe it will work but the rest of the X-Men are not Deadpool and Logan.

It sounds like Franco is just making another one of the movies he and Seth Rogan usually make but with a sci-fi bent.
IE, he's merely co-opting Madrox's name and powers to tell his own story and he's using the X-Men brand for free publicity.

Like I've said before. There is no game plan over at Fox or WB. They just see the money.

Yup here come the orgy jokes about him just having sex with himself. Throw in lines like "If I multiply and give myself a blowjob does that make me gay or am I just pleasuring myself?"
I hate James Franco so much these days. Seth Rogen will either be a full on cast member or at the very least have a cameo in this just watch.

nerdist.com/james-franco-x-men-r-rated-multiple-man/ And why Disney should not get X-Men. X-Men is not silly comedy. I do think the hard r is more on the psychological side for multiple man than the physical side, which makes a lot of sense because the character of multiple man has some big similarities to Legion.

This will be like his Rogen movies. He's gonna he saying crap like "They hate us cause they anus." Does this guy not know who James Franco is? I mean, he just did a "bio pic" about Tommy Wiseau... And the character is Jamie Madrox. If they make him serious then they don't know the character. The only psychological bit they might do is how his dupes have different personalities. Like an X-men version of Multipicity. Another way they can go is to show how his powers work and how that connects to his childhood (he was bullied so now he dupes when he get's hit).

Ironic isn’t it, mcu fans now feel they need to assault an innocent actor's career because he wants to make an xmen movie mcu cannot make. does that not tell you how weak mcu is, that you people feel the need to attack just a regular actor like franco who from his track record has so much meat. the guy is just coming off the disaster artist which so far is very solid and artistically very impressive.
Sorry loves, not everyone wants to settle for the jokey fart comedy marvel movies. Multiple man, one more movie in the mix that will likely make all the mcu movies look dumb and silly as usual. No wonder mcu fans really want to put a stop to it asap. So sad, the low class state of mcu movies their fans cannot even let xmen be.

Good when he's good, and god awful when he's not. Yeah, plenty are still ashamed and can't admit it. Nope, just Franco doing the usual nonsense he and Seth Rogan put out. FOX desperate to cash in on the R Rated fad.

Actually, YES, sam. Chris Evans was a NOBODY who was only known for Johnny Storm before Captain America. Ryan Reynolds has been making semi-successful comedies since Van Wilder. Everyone knew of his brand of humor when they went into Deadpool. And EVERYONE was pleasantly surprised to see that Ryan finally found his Jack Sparrow, his Rhett Butler, the one character perfectly suited for him.

Actually, YES, sam. Chris Evans was a NOBODY who was only known for Johnny Storm before Captain America. Wrong. By the time of Deadpool, his movies had been bombing for so long the film was his last shot at a career resurrection.
