As a Noles fan, I'm glad to see his leaving. The program felt a bit unhinged under him. Huge legit props for a title during the 'SEC era'. Alas, FSU have felt rough around its edges since he came in, like race driving with only 1 hand on the wheel.
As for A&M, if they think this is a ticket to greatness, they may be sorely disappointed. Winning the ACC isn't exactly the SEC gauntlet.

"Sources told ESPN that Texas A&M officials have approved a 10-year, $75 million fully guaranteed contract for Fisher, which is the richest deal in college football history, in terms of total value."

He was making 5.7 million @ FSU. He had a bad year, but it was just a hiccup. Goes from being one of the top bananas in the ACC to being second fiddle in the SEC. A&M will forever chase the SEC titans, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU on one front, University of Texas on another front, and Oklahoma on another. In 1981, Jackie Sherrill was a big name coach at Pittsburgh. He took the big money and fled to A&M. He had good seasons, but he might as well been coaching on the moons of Neptune. And he didn't have to recruit against Nick Saban.

Toronto, huh? Man, that light years away. May I ask if your from Tallahassee or anywhere in or near Florida? What is your connection to Florida State? I wanted to root for NCAA sports behind a team/school. The early 90's were fun & I liked FSU playing pro style football while everyone else played 19th century trash. Also I hate Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, Michigan State, Penn State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, South Carolina, Wisconsin, & pretty much any team not in the ACC or Pac-12 because they at least play watchable ball. It made my day when the Big East marquees Miami, Syracuse, & Virginia Tech joined the ACC. Also fun is Notre Dame pretending to be independent while cozying up to the conference.
