Janis Joplin - I've had an on and off again love for Janis. First I loved her, then I grew tired of her. So I don't listen to her for a few months and I love her again. She's a great Blues/Rock singer because she sings with such passion. Veruca Salt - Good rock band.
Weezer - I like the only two songs of theirs I know.
kd lang - No. Eminem - Just no.
I don't know much about the rest of those artists.

Eminem- Meh Franz Ferdinand- only heard one album...couple of decent tunes... Guided By Voices- ok Helloween- Heard them being played in a Boba Tea place last week, which is sort of hilarious... Idlewild- Only heard one album...It was ok... Janis Joplin- Not really my thing...I can appreciate the energy she put into things, though kd lang- Nah Lemonheads- Meh Manic Street Preachers- Meh Orbital- Meh Tupac- Wasn't a fan... Weezer- Never really warmed to their shtick...
Haven't heard enough to have an opinion: Panic! At the Disco Rise Against Yello Zac Brown Band A.F.I. Dead Can Dance

Love: kd lang Janis Joplin
Like them okay, own at least something by them, but I need to explore them a lot more: Orbital Zac Brown Band
Moderately familiar with, and remember liking them at least okay, but I don't own anything by them at the moment, and I haven't heard them in a long time: Dead Can Dance Helloween Tupac Ultravox
I know I've heard, but I can't recall well enough to say one way or the other: Bauhaus Camper Van Beethoven Yello
Interesting for one reason or another, but I didn't exactly like them: Napalm Death X
Pretty sure I heard something by them, but don't recall particularly liking it: Franz Ferdinand Lemonheads Panic! At the Disco Weezer
Pretty sure I've never heard: Guided By Voices Idlewild Manic Street Preachers Rise Against Super Furry Animals Veruca Salt
Not sure I've even heard of them: A.F.I. Quickspace [Supersport]
Never clicked with me for some reason: Eminem

Bauhaus - One of the few goth bands I really like. First two albums especially.
Dead Can Dance - Awesome when I'm in the right mood. Some of the most atmospheric, haunting music out there.
Eminem - Never liked anything I've heard, but I'm not much of a hip-hop fan to start with.
Franz Ferdinand - Meh
Guided By Voices - Like what I've heard, which isn't much.
Helloween - Probably my favorite power metal band. Keeper albums and Better than Raw are among my favorite metal albums, period, and they have gems scattered across their discography. Along with Maiden, probably the best sense of melody of any metal band.
Janis Joplin - The queen of hard blues-rock. Nobody does it better.
kd lang - Checked her out after falling for Neko Case but I didn't like her nearly as much.
Manic Street Preachers - Meh
Napalm Death - I like the idea of them more than the actual music, so meh.
Panic! At the Disco - Super meh.
Tupac - I admire his skill and respect his influence, but again the music just doesn't really click with me much.
Weezer - I enjoy them but find them greatly overrated. Not as good as the classic power pop bands (Cheap Trick, Raspberries, Big Star, etc.), and even among contemporaries in roughly the same genre, I greatly prefer The New Pornographers.
Haven't heard enough (if anything) from the rest.

I love Ultravox and X - both the Aussie and American 'X'.
I like Bauhaus, Camper Van Beethoven (mainly for the bowling song), Dead Can Dance, Helloween (what little I've heard), Janis Joplin, Lemonheads (the early stuff) and Napalm Death.
I loathe Eminem and have no opinion on the others mentioned.

Bauhaus - The Godfathers of Goth (if you can ever hear 'Swing the Heartache: The BBC Sessions', do so, I like those takes even better than the studio versions) Camper Van Beethoven - I only remember their cover of "Pictures of Matchstick Men" Dead Can Dance - used to listen to them a lot back in the 90s, not so much these days Eminem - never heard a full Eminem song Franz Ferdinand - I remember liking their debut, but never heard anything after. I always thought they were riding a bit on Interpol's coattails. Guided By Voices - Cool band that PCQgod got me into. Helloween - I heard a song or two back in high school. Idlewild - ? Janis Joplin - Liked back in my high school days. kd lang - Ingénue is one of the most under-appreciated albums ever, imo. Lemonheads - heard a tune or two, never really got into 'em Manic Street Preachers - ? Napalm Death - Always liked the name, never heard much of the band though Orbital - ? Panic! At the Disco - ? Quickspace [Supersport] - ? Rise Against - ? Super Furry Animals - ? Tupac - ? Ultravox - Awesomeness Veruca Salt - ? Weezer - Used to like their debut, never followed up on them though. X - Love 'em. Yello - Only heard a few choice cuts. Zac Brown Band - ?

Ultravox (do you mean the chaotic and raw John Foxx era with the exclamation mark or the Midge Ure 80s line-up, or both?
I love the 1976-1978 John Foxx era, should have deserved far more credit for their work, sadly they just did not have a hit single to back it up with.

Hiya Have a real soft spot for Bela Lugosi's Dead (particularly the 'live' cut) by Bauhaus and Island In The Sun by Weezer. Quite like the Happy Days video for Buddy Holly. KD Lang is pretty darn good and I like a handful of Janis J. Have seen Orbital and enjoyed muchly.
Adore Without Me by Eminem.....and it's brilliant video....but only a handful of his other cuts.
Love a huge chunk of Ultravox, moreso Midge tenure.....and was dead chuffed Brilliant album came out a few years back, as I thought they were done. I still love their triple drum ponce-about on the live outro to The Voice and Billy Currie's keys are the business.
Franz Ferdinand I find frenetic without bite.
They rest I have to admit I don't know much.

A.F.I. - not heard Bauhaus - early singles and first LP good, should have packed it in after that Camper Van Beethoven - had one good song Dead Can Dance - new age for goths Eminem - had a couple of good songs 17/18 years ago Franz Ferdinand - they're ok Guided By Voices - very dull Helloween - not heard Idlewild - very dull, almost certainly the dullest band ever to have 13 top 40 hits Janis Joplin - abysmal kd lang - only heard one song, which was crap Lemonheads - abysmal Manic Street Preachers - have the very occasional good single Napalm Death - they're ok, I actually prefer their most recent stuff Orbital - quite good, saw them live below Edinburgh Castle while very stoned, which was nice Panic! At the Disco - 9 In The Afternoon is great Quickspace [Supersport] - pretty good, a less precious Stereolab Rise Against - not heard Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever is excellent, everything else not so much Tupac - not knowingly heard, though I probably did hear something by him when I listened to Westwood on the radio Ultravox - first two LPs are absolute masterpieces Veruca Salt - dreadful Weezer - Buddy Holly is pretty good X - boring Yello - I Love You is tolerable Zac Brown Band - not heard, or even heard of

Bauhaus Camper Van Beethoven Dead Can Dance Guided by Voices Janis Joplin Lemonheads X
Okay if I'm the mood:
Helloween Weezer Veruca Salt Ultravox Yello Napalm Death
The rest I either don't know well enough to comment, or haven't been impressed with what I've heard.

They switched to full on indie pop with their latest CD. What's next, the White Stripes put out a rap album?

What's next, the White Stripes put out a rap album? That might require Meg to learn a second beat.

I am sick of seeing Zac Brown Band get overlooked ever year for the ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year awards. I love watching them here.
God bless you and them always!!!
Holly
P.S. This is an uncensored copy of the song.

I don't really like any of those performers except Weezer. Veruca Salt had one good tune and I may have once listened to Orbital at a listening station at Best Buy when Best Buy and listening stations were new and cool. If they are kind of a spacey rock band, then I thought the album I listened to was pretty decent.
