I've seen all the episodes aired so far and it is quite good. The language is a bit raw at times, but the performances are fine, and even though Lange and Sarandon aren't exact replicas of Crawford and Davis, they still do fine work. And Judy Davis is stealing practically every scene she's in. Looking forward to episode 5, the Oscar episode. It should be a real doozy.

Oscar episode tonight was great. How accurate is the storytelling, that Joan manipulated her way into accepting the award and that she and Hedda Hopper campaigned for Davis' competition to win?

I'm enjoying it, although I won't use the word 'great'. Trying to avoid being 'too campy' while the true subjects, willfully or not, defined Hollywood 'camp' of the early 60's (just by trying to stay relevant). Not the easiest task.
I do enjoy the underlying theme of? No matter how earnestly these ladies attempt to bring their fans and own aspirations along?
At the end of the day, they were still 'fodder for the machine' and had very little control of things. I find a sad message wherein even their triumphs are tainted by the wheels turning around them.
I find it very well acted.

I'm loving every delicious, over the top,who-cares-if-its-accurate moment. Sarandon is Davis. Lange is more than holding her own as Crawford which is more difficult bec that lady didn't possess the mannerisms that were stock in trade for Davis.
