Any fans of the movie "Lethal Weapon" staring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover? How has it held up after 30 years? Still a defining action film and buddy cop film of the 1980's thanks to effective directing from Richard Donner, Shane Black's script and the core chemistry between Mel Gibson and Danny Glover.

Wow, no love for Lethal Weapon? Yes, of course! Wow, thirty years! I feel so old now. I still think the best out of all four is the second installment, with the original being pretty close, then the fourth. The third was "meh". I think a lot of the fans would tend to agree. Does anybody here watch the T.V. show? I hate remakes, so I tend to avoid them, like the Rush Hour (2016) series that crashed and burned.

I like the third film. The fourth is my least favorite, but it's not bad.

Lethal Weapon is one of the greatest action movies of all time. It holds a special place in the history of the action genre IMO.

This movie needs a good rewatch. From what I remember, Danny Glover and Mel Gibson had great chemistry and had good, well-directed action setpieces. This was a great start to a popular action film series. Happy 30th birthday!

To me, it still holds up pretty well. Mel and Danny share great chemistry as the odd couple detectives, and Gary Busey and Mitchell Ryan are great villains. Plus, Tom Atkins in a supporting role - you can't go wrong there.

Back when you thought Mel Gibson could fuck anybody up. He was a legit bonafide action star at that time.

Big fan of the franchise. All 4 were pretty good, but the first 2 were fantastic.

Personally I rate the first 3 as equally brilliant, the 4th just doesn't do anything for me.

4 is WAY better than 3. Lethal Weapon is still my favorite action movie franchise of all time. The order goes:
1 and 2 tied 4 3

I also actually enjoy the show. I know it is terribly cheesy, but I still enjoy it as mindless fun. The two leads actually do a good job.
