For example, a car goes over a cliff in the 1914 Charlie Chaplin film Making a Living.
A car gets run over by a tractor in the 1936 film Earthworm Tractors:
Not sure if it counts as a "film", but here's 1918 newsreel footage of a tank running over a car. The uploader says the newsreel is from the 1920s and shot in the UK, but commentators on the video did research which shows that it is from 1918 and filmed in Canada.
So, on that note, can you fine respectable incredibly sexy well-dressed people name some other early examples of a car being destroyed in a film?

Laurel and Hardy destroyed many a car during their attacks of mutual destruction, silently and with sound. Titles will hopefully follow. Am without my looker-upper-thingy at the moment.

Which reminds me, I believe Buster Keaton had some cars destroyed in his films as well. For example, a car is hit by a train in one of his underrated 1930s films for the Educational Films company (despite the name, they mostly did comedies).

Either Keaton or Lloyd made a film and I saw a car crash as a sight gag.

That was cool Seto Kaiba. I bet even Yugi would enjoy watching that.
