There's one nearby. Have you ever been to one? It's Starbucks for tea with really overpriced tea (and some other items as well). I've been to it once. I do plan to go again, but haven't gotten around to it.

RiP, IMDb: I make my own tea at home. I'm not sure I see the appeal of going into a tea house that is a "Starbucks for tea, with really overpriced tea."

Currently, I'm letting it sit on the stove for a few minutes after it boiled since you're NOT supposed to pour it into your teacup or mug while it's still boiling. Now the timer rang and it's time for my to pour into my mug and let steep for eight minutes.

Have you ever seen a Kung-Fu Tea? I don't think I've seen one, but there's a similar one I've seen in the malls around here called Teavana. And it looks to be like you say: a Starbucks, only for tea instead of coffee.
I doubt if I'd go there myself. Still, for those who do frequent the place, I don't knock them for getting into the wonderful world of tea.

Me, I use exclusively loose leaf (or bulk tea, as it's also known as). IOW, no bags. I like various black teas (English Breakfast blend, which usually contains China Black + Assam leaves), Lapsang Souchong (smoky China tea), Earl Grey, and a few others). I steep my tea leaves in a stainless steel pan for about 3 or 4 minutes, then strain it into a small teapot.

I steep my tea leaves in a stainless steel pan for about 3 or 4 minutes, then strain it into a small teapot. I'm currently having a cup of tea that consists of Lipton regular (orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea); Bigelow Earl Grey black tea (black tea, natural oil of bergamot); Bigelow "Constant Comment" green tea (green tea, rind of oranges, sweet spice, natural flavor (soy lecithin); Twining's Irish Breakfast 100% pure black tea (fine black tea expertly selected from Kenya, Indonesia, Assam and China); Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder (black tea contains caffeine with energizing maté (roasted maté and black tea). After the water boils I let it sit on the stove in the kettle for four minutes; then I pour it into my cup and steep it for eight minutes. Then I add either two packets of sweetener (artificial or natural) or two spoonfuls of sugar. Then half-and-half or whole milk. Heat it for thirty or forty seconds (give or take) in the microwave and finally I drink and enjoy it.

RiP, IMDb: interesting. That's a pretty busy little cup of tea, I'd say. lol
Do you like green tea alone, un-blended as in your recipe above? Me, I've never acquired a taste for it. But, I'll drink it if offered to me.
