So since we have several rating threads for the DCEU I figured I'd make one for the MCU films!
And what better way to start than with the film that started it all! The 2008 Iron Man film!

9/10 for me. Would have been a 9.5 or 10 if the Iron Man vs Iron Mongrel fight was better.

9/10. I remember there were a lot of people saying it was the best superhero movie ever made at the time of its release, then The Dark Knight stole it's thunder but it's still one of the best MCU movies.
It's gotta be in the Top 5 or something. Same with above I just think the final battle could have been a bit better.

I give it an 8. It's actually got an extremely good double cross sort of story going on, and there's nothing wrong with it at all, but the only reason I don't rate it higher is that it's not reaching or trying to be anything more. It's a perfect beginning, not doubt. 9 and 10's for me I reserve for very few films, so really an 8 from me is as good as it gets. I really enjoy it. |

I re-watched it last week again, first time since 2010'ish. I wanted to see if it held up, & if it could stand as an Avengers baseline toward IW.
It's decent though it's funny to see how aged it's trending. Stark for me is best in the Avengers movies (& Civil War) playing off of more lead heroes than everyday jabronis.

It was a good movie but at the same time it's not something I have a desire to watch again.
I've watched it twice tops. Still doesn't mean it's bad like some movies but still.
