Kinda an odd mixture, but it could be interesting.

Ralph Waldo Emerson Lake and Palmer • 33 mins ago
No way Paramount lets Quentin soil the property…
I figured Emerson for a Star Wars fan.

I figured Emerson for a Star Wars fan. Paramount needs something to create buzz for the project, the last Trek unperformed. I don't think Paramount will make an R-rated Trek though.

Oh, I didn't realize it was official. I thought the R rating was an assumption. Damn, this should be interesting.

Maybe they should not call this Star Trek like Bond filming naming, as purists are already hating this

I'm down for this (if it actually happens of course). Sounds interesting & the Star Trek franchise could use a big adrenaline shot after Beyond underperformed. If I was in charge, I'd scale the budget back a bit (Beyond's budget was massive). Oh and lose the "Sabotage" song lol its played out for gods sakes.

I'm OK, with Quentin Tarantino taking on the directing of a Star Trek film... I have liked many of his films, and I think he can successfully direct a "Star Trek" film... BUT, he needs to remember, that this is not one of "his" personal film projects that he is used to working on... and he need to keep the movie similar to the other "Star Trek" movies that has been made...
Also, he needs to get away from his usual directing habits of spending over half the film with characters jabbering to each other with conversations about nothing...
I know, if he tries to have Kirk, Spock, & McCoy sitting in the mess hall for half an hour talking about eating "Hawaiian Burgers", and having "Tasty Beverages"... Star Trek fans around the world will lynch him.
This is a "Star Trek" film... A movie which should be mostly about a Starship and her crew exploring the mysteries of space and fighting evil alien enemies.

It's gotta stand out somehow.

I'm somewhat puzzled why a film needs a writer's room?

As long as the fight comes as an after thought, to having a good main Star Trek plot...
