I made the mistake of streaming this today.
Pretty awful.
Maybe that's par for the course for him, but I wouldn't know as I haven't really listened to any of his previous efforts.
His lyrics in Divide are so banal!

It pains me to say that I find Shape Of You to be considerably less abysmal than his usual guff, but I'm still not going to listen to the album. His lyrics are consistently awful, using horrible colloquialisms like "you was" in an effort to seem more street or whatever is something of a trademark. Cheers, Noggers. Will certainly be careful to avoid his earlier stuff then! Talking of him tryingto appear "street", the first track on "Divide", called Eraser, is his attempt at rapping! AVOID!!!!

I just listened to it and added it to my Best Pop Albums list. It currently ranks between Matthew Morrison's self-titled album and El Símbolo's NO PARES.
