For now I'm sticking with TV Tango. I'll go to Wiki IF I can't find it on TV Tango. I only saw the red & black costumed characters in one scene and all of them were sitting down with a large circular black metallic table in front of them. I don't know IF they were Ninjas or not, but I doubt it. The tv at the time didn't get cable. It was most-definitely and positively a broadcast network showing. While going through TV Tango from May 1984 to Dec. 31st, 1984 I came across this film The Outlaws which I thought might be it. Unfortunately, when I did Google Images and scanned through the film on YouTube there was no scene of the characters I described. So on I go with my search and I'm now up to February 11th, 1985. So far nothing, but the search continues... |

I've been searching for this film for a few years since you originally posted it on the IMDB boards because it is so familiar to me too. The thing is I tend to picture the actor Richard Lynch as the man with the Vocoder but I could be confusing with another film, but this stays with me.
I've been going through his list of films and TV stuff but I can't be sure of any, was guessing maybe 'Bad Dreams' but can't be sure he was in a lot of horror & sci-fi TV and films back in the day.
Just throwing this out there incase it rings a bell or helps in any way!

This movie has some elements of what you describe, but is too different to be it. However, you may want to include it in the list once it is eliminated. Yes, it's entirely possible that the masked, cloaked/cowled/hooded, black and red costumed character speaking into the microphone (hooked-up to an unseen vocoder) was Richard Lynch. It certainly probably would be the type of role he'd portray. |

The leader of the Cylons from the original Battlestar Galactica tv series was Red and Black. Maybe he and some guards interrogated one of good guys?
