Yes, it's in my queue at positions #438 - #441. At the rate I watch (EXTREMELY SLOWLY) it will be YEARS or EVEN a DECADE or LONGER until I get to it.

And any others that seem like possibilities.

Vocoders are cool. The Boney M song Night Flight to Venus makes use of the vocoder and they really have the cylon sound.

I thought maybe I had found it, but now I think not. The film was Rollerblade. A very low budget movie with women in blue and red robes, but no Vocoder voices I've spotted looking at bits and pieces. I'll give it a more thorough going through eventually.

This is indeed an interesting question.

carlcarlson1Well, not as interesting as a ghostly singer in Sleuth, I’ll grant you that… Nevertheless, the part I find intriguing about it is how RiP, IMDb hasn’t been able to find it all these years (like that other fella back on IMDb INTK who was forever searching for the ID card western).

I sympathize-I am still trying to figure out if that dinner table survival movie was me mis-remembering something else. I did recently solve one long time movie mystery though. I could have sworn there was a pilot for Fantasy Island that had a black man as Rourke and the island was in fact Hell.
Stumbled upon the answer by chance: Haunts of the Very Rich was a 1972 tv movie with that plot. Strangely, no production ties between it and Fantasy Island even though Ricardo Montalban said he thought of Rourke as a fallen angel and the island Purgatory.

Salzmank But, you've made a remarkable effort to find your answer. RIP doesn't seem to be in any rush. Understandably so.

Furthermore, I've ONLY seen this ONCE and had it been a series it SHOULD HAVE been SOLVED by now. I think this was a tv-film or a pilot for a FAILED series.

WHAT?!? I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY OTHER SHOW (OR FILM; TV or THEATRICAL) ON TV that DID THIS!!! And I've SEEN quite a few! CERTAINLY NEVER using a vocoder that sounded similar to the one used in 'Battlestar Galactica'. It could even be the same brand and model.

Don't expect anyone to be clearly lit, though. Depending on the desired level of secrecy, all we see of the Omniscient Councillors might be their body, but not their face or only their eyes - or we might see nothing but Sinister Silhouettes. This is naturally to protect the identities of the members from the audience, but it may also be because Evil Is Not Well-Lit" Kamen Rider is listed a few times under LIVE ACTION TV. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheOmniscientCouncilOfVagueness

Agon, did you ever see "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" from 1970? If so, do you remember the part where Brent and Nova encounter the telepathic mutants? Is there any chance that you're remembering it and perhaps unconsciously combining it with elements of other films you've seen?

I breezed through most of the pilot for Streethawk and it's sort of reality based, no aliens. Cop on bike is working with a "computer whiz". Street Hawk - S01E01 - Pilot www.dailymotion.com/video/x44vo33
