I liked how it explained certain Bat origins, but it is too SJW for my liking. I prefer Batman being self-made, not requiring a mentor and various surrogate father figures. Dude, no one is self-made. Even in the comics, Wayne had to learn from various teachers.

Then the old comics' version of his backstory is bullshit. To learn Martial Arts, you have to be taught. Sorry that Bruce attending regular karate lessons in his youth offends your delicate sensibilities.

8.5/10. This is my favorite out of the Nolan trilogy, though the best from a filmmaking, acting, and screenwriting point of view is The Dark Knight all in all.

And BTW-he didnt have mentors in the 1979 Batman screenplay done by the writer of a few James Bonds and Superman the movie.

Among the best CBM movies ever. Much better than TDK(R).

So my statement still stands. Everyone is inspired by someone else. Its not a matter of politics. Its a matter of knowing how people learn and function. Bruce Wayne could only become Batman if he studied under someone to learn the necessary skills. Sorry that your Alpha Male ideology doesn't allow for young people to learn from their elders.

Sorry that your Alpha Male ideology doesn't allow for young people to learn from their elders. That is trivial. He could learn to fight from any number of sources without it being a mentor or father surrogate. Just because Zorro learned fencing somewhere, doesnt mean we need to see the fencing master. Totally unnecessary for the story of the character. Where did Robin Hood learn to use a bow? Who cares?

So yes, it was a totally necessary part of the story. You can't have the "Begins" without the begins. The point of the movie is Bruce's personal journey to becoming Batman and how he did it. I'm so sorry that your idea of a proper manly man is someone who never needs guidance or help from someone else.

LOL I love how the very thought of a film showing an "Alpha Male" learning anything from someone else just repulses you.

That weak attempt at an insult might actually mean something if the person saying it wasn't a Nazi sympathizer and Holocaust denier.

Lose a debate and switch to WW 2. This time you and I are done, professionally. Ignoring your response and dont bother sending me a private message this time I wont bother looking at it anyway.

I didn't lose anything. You are not a reliable judge of character or source of information, and I will not hesitate to point out why every single time. Yeah, you'll ignore ironclad evidence that completely refutes your Antisemitic worldview like a little bitch. Your own Beta tendencies are showing.

8/10. Would have been 9/10 if it was a prequel to the Burton movies instead of a reboot. I miss the Elfman score and gothic Gotham City design.
