Hi, Naively I rang yesterday to make an appointment for my daughter at 9:00 to be told all that days appointments have gone as they go within 20 minutes of opening the phone lines at 8:00. The earliest pre-book appointment is ten days away so try again tomorrow. FF to this morning, constant engaged tone from dead on 8:00 with three of us all dialing and redialing managed to get an answer after 16 minutes and get the last slot this morning. Whilst not an emergency it is urgent and certainly can't wait ten days. There is a very good chance had I been ringing alone I wouldn't have got an appointment at all. I don't bother the Drs too often and it was only earlier this year you could easily get an appointment on the day or pre-book a day or two in advance. The really frustrating thing is that they don't have a system that lets you queue. You have to repeatedly hang up and try again and again and again. It's pot luck . I checked my call log and I had dialed 23 times. Perhaps it's not very productive to be told you are 23rd in line Any who, after my moan back to my question, how long do you have to wait on average for an appointment to see your GP ? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. Depends on the Dr and what the Dr does.
My internist is easy to get appointments from. The most common doctor I see is my ear nose and throat. He takes walking as early as 7:30am. That's because if you have bronchitis or worse you can not wait a month to see him.
I am having a hell of a time with endocrinologists. So far I have gone through 6 of them with only one I had left of my own volition (always cancelled appts and the next one available would be 6 months from the cancelled appt-- couple that with him refusing to refill medically necessary rx when it was his fault to begin with-- no thanks) The others up and leave mt Sinai like it carries the plague.

Usually can get in the same day, or sometimes (rarely) have to wait until the next day.
