I've been thinking that the current board layout could really be improved in some ways. The main board is far too long and some similar boards are too far from each other while non-related boards have been strangely hamburgered in between them. So here are suggestions to make the board shorter & easier to scroll + some other suggestions.
Any criticism of these suggestions is welcome.
Trivia! Trivia!
* Change all "Games" boards into sub-boards labeled under "Games" .
Awards Season
* Combine "Music Awards" and "Theater Awards" into a more wide "Other Entertainment Awards".
Film Talk
* Move "Internet Films/Videos" above "Video" since this board really seems to be in a wrong place between mainstream/blockbuster related boards.
* Break Harry Potter, Star Wars, TLotR & James Bond from "Film Talk" into separate main board called "Franchises" or something like that.
* "Classic Film" and "Cult Films"would do better under "Genre Zone" in my opinion.
Shop Talk
* Would work better as a single board with sub-boards, assuming there's enough interest. If not, could be deleted entirely.
Genre Zone
* Why is "Reality TV" here and not under "TV Talk"? Genre Zone is about movie genres, right?
* "Women in Film"and "3D Films" would probably fit better under "Film Talk" since they are not strictly speaking movie genres.
Music
* "Music General" and "Soundtracks" are good, everything else should probably be just sub-boards under "Music Genres".
Technology
* Again, sub-boards are needed.
General Boards
* Not sure why "Film, TV, Celebrity News" exists. Talk about Film & TV should go to Film, TV & Star Talk boards. This seems redundant.
Other suggestions
* "Film Talk", "Genre Talk" and "Around the World" should be next to each other and near the top in the layout since they are all movie related boards.
* "Awards Season", being a seasonal board that's rather slow most of the time shouldn't be so high up.
* "Shop Talk" should be further down, probably next to "Star Talk", not between TV & Genre Zone.

Having Commercials/Advertising under Genre is also weird.

Having Commercials/Advertising under Genre is also weird. Good point. It really doesn't seem like the right place for it (though I'm not sure what is).
