What?
I'm actually pretty sure they'll get the cosmic guys in first. That has been their stated focus going forward. And the FF are easier to get in too. X-Men will be worked out.
The X-Men are PROVEN money makers and fan favorites, with an already built in audience, proven track record, and established franchise that they don't really have to re-boot, just merge. Whereas they'd HAVE to start from scratch with the others. Its obvious which way they'd go. I agree, but it's easier to get FF characters in first. You could easily have Sue and/or Reed as a scientist in Avengers 4 without being distracting or skipping a beat or evening giving them a story arc. You can't just have X-Men show up that easily.
So no, I don't think it's obvious X-Men show up first at all. In fact I'd be fairly confident they take longer.

It's true, the X-Men are a proven commodity, however; that doesn't mean that a merger of the two universes is a foregone conclusion. I'd prefer not to see either universe tainted by the other. Besides, an abrupt amalgamation of the two worlds lacks credibility as a story device. The X-Men should be introduced to the MCU in a progression that reflects their history; start with the blue team and, later on, introduce the "all new, all different" team. It will work, and it will give characters like Wolverine, Magneto, and Professor X a much-needed rest before they become Batman-level overexposed.

Reed Richards - we need more science bros. He's the SB to end all SBs. I thought they'd take the opportunity to let Sue take the lead here. But it could definitely be Reed of course. I just thought they'd mix it up. Giving the heavy criticism of Marvel lacking strong female leads in their films, I can definitely see Sue getting a major push.

We'll see. Whenever a deal like this comes along I always think the studios involved want to go wherever the money takes them first. Here... its X-Men.
Listen to the buzz: Its all about X-Men joining the MCU, not Fantastic Four or others.

That and they've got several science nerd type guys as leads already, plus she's always been the strongest anyway.

Ok that's the mindset of DC, WB, etc who of course jumped straight to the Batman Superman train. Marvel actually does things smart, and yes obviously they get to the money, but they don't jump right at it like a guy at prom who's never seen a girl in panties before. They actually have some class and act like it ain't their first time.

You elevate all the little details. You don't just play a compilation of money shots. That's not a film, it's a highlight reel.
