Alzheimer's Disease is a terrifying illness. I feel sorry for those suffering from it, because you know you are forgetting loved ones and events until you are no longer aware that it's happening. And it's devastating to loved ones to see someone you care about forget everything and change into a stranger. It's very common among the women on my mom's side. I already have an aunt who had to be hospitalized and another aunt who is just beginning to forget. It makes me scared that this could happen to my mom too. I know it sounds selfish but I don't want that to happen.   He forgets quite a few things and he is really bad with passwords and needs to write them down and put them somewhere he remembers or he won't be able to log into sites. He hasn't got Alzheimer's Disease though and is just forgetful so don't freak out too much Chalice.  |

They did a good job of making me feel like I'm part of the family and I will never forget that. If only our parents had been more like them. |

Sadly we can't choose our family and wind up with someone who can't raise a Pokemon as a parent.

Yeah. My Aunt and Uncle are wonderful people and I am really close with my Aunt as you know and even though my Uncle is very eccentric at times he was a better Father to me than my Father was growing up and it was for those reasons I took their name when I was old enough to legally change my last name. Your aunt and uncle are the best. They did a good job of making me feel like I'm part of the family and I will never forget that. If only our parents had been more like them.  |

And the Catholic Church was recently wracked with more abuse cases. A lot of people are losing faith not in the institution but the leadership which seems to be out of touch with the laity and more concerned about protecting itself.

For some reason people either cannot believe or do not want to believe someone they know and possibly admire can do something this horrible. So it's always covered up. You see it in schools, athletics, youth organizations, businesses, and the entertainment industry.
You would think after awhile people would catch on that covering up does no good, but only harm. Yet people continue to think they can make it go away by ignoring it.

It is surprising and sickening how many teachers have turned out to be pedophiles and we had another one of those on the news tonight who was a 50 something year old man who raped a young girl and he has been let out on bail at the moment and is still getting paid but he is not allowed to go near the school or any children and I think it is a joke he is still getting paid but I heard that could change soon. When you hear about this happening so often it makes you hard to trust teachers with children and I worry about my nieces and nephew but they aren't all pedophiles and we need to remember that 'cause a lot of good teachers get a bad name 'cause of these people. One thing I notice on comment sections of articles with cases like this if it is a female teacher who is attractive with a young boy there are people who think it is wonderful and say how lucky the boy is and defend the teacher even when it is a 9 year old boy with a 35 year old teacher and it is disgusting and not okay at all. He should be hung for what he did to that young girl. There is no reason for him to be out on bail now other than the system being a fucking joke that doesn’t work. Leave him in a room with me for 2 minutes and he wouldn’t touch another young girl again. Fucking slimeball.

Most places in the U.S. require convicted sex offenders to register and tell everyone in their neighborhood of their past. Many also require they do not live close to schools or other places kids might be.
