Others only mentioned but not seen: Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948) "Now, for the powder room in here, I want you to match this thread. And don't lose it. It's the only spool I have and I had an awful time finding it. As you can see, it's practically an apple red. Somewhere between a healthy Winesap and an unripened Jonathan."

Inherit the Wind (1960) "So this is where the fate of learning for the next hundred years will be determined. O tempora! O mores!"
"Don't worry, little Eva, I'm not the serpent. And this isn't from the tree of knowledge. Oh no, you won't find one of those growing in Hillsborough."

Sons Of the Desert (1934) OLLIE: "What're you eating?"
STAN: "An apple."
OLLIE: "Where'd you get it?"
STAN: "There."
OLLIE: "Those are imitation! They're made of wax!"
MRS. HARDY: "What's he been doing now?"
OLLIE: "He's been eating that phony fruit."
MRS. HARDY: "Oh, so that's where it's been going. That's the third apple I've missed this week."

I expect most filmings of Treasure Island include the scene where Jim Hawkins hides in the apple barrel. One of the pirates impales an apple on his dagger, giving Jim a close shave. (Only a metaphorical one as I doubt Jim was old enough to shave). Jim in the apple barrel

Apples in song: Lifeboat (1944) William Bendix warbles "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree" while getting tanked on brandy. Private Buckaroo (1942) The Andrews Sisters did it with Harry James (and without the brandy).
