Most educational and a total riot there indeed ( in a darkly humorous manner of course ) . The only singer missing from this merry group was "Weird Al" Yankovic . Thanks Feologild Oakes for sharing your special yuletide selection of songs here with us too .

Although surprisingly I wasn't familiar with most of these I did however recognize a couple of very well known past favorites of mine here too . John Lennon - Happy Xmas [War Is Over] The Beatles - Christmas Time Is Here Again Thanks NJtoTX for sharing your interesting Christmas song list with us here too .

You're welcome! In my opinion everything from Toby Keith's first Christmas album is good, but that song named "Mary, Its Christmas" in my opinion is the stand out because of it being about a situation that doesn't get much acknowledgement this time of year if any. God bless you and Toby and those who can relate to that song of his always!!! Holly

My favourite Christmas songs are as follows (broken down by category):
Favourite traditional Christmas song = Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. My favourite rendition of the song is performed by....it's a tie between Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé.
Favourite traditional non-denominational Christmas song = Sleigh Ride. My favourite rendition of the song is performed by Pentatonix (AWESOME acapella version of the song).
Favourite non-traditional Christmas song = Last Christmas. My favourite rendition of the song is performed by Jimmy Eat World, who I think is a VERY underrated band.
Honestly, it doesn't matter who performs the song.

No problem. I keep that version of Sleigh Ride on my iPod all year round. Helps get me thru the dog days of summer.
I'm surprised there hadn't been more versions recorded of Last Christmas for this year. I mean...as a tribute to George Michael, who we lost last Christmas Day. The only new version for this year that I know of was done by Gwen Stefani. I downloaded it.
