But I’m not talking about the past, I’m talking about what could be done in the present. Easy, go cosmic. Earthbound Superman stories aren't that easy to do even when he IS the only superhero on the planet (Donner) and he's only ever had 1 good Earthbound movie anyways. Exactly. Which means we can potentially get a good Superman movie the majority can like.

Suicide Squad 2 has only a right to excist, if they have the balls to make it Rated-R, and let the criminals be real criminals. And not this criebabies anymore.

I'm actually not convinced a compelling story can. And I'm not convinced all that many people really care.
But if people want it and if a compelling story can be created, then what's the hold up? Why did it take decades to follow up on Reeve's films? What's the hold up now? BVS was supposed to MOS2 so why did they need Batman to rescue him?
Because things change? And it’s been said they MoS 2 is in works? How long is going to be "in the works" for? Marvel is about to have it's 4th full trilogy out, Spidey, Ant Man, and Guardians both have other sequel dates already set. What's the fucking problem?

BvS was MoS 2, the same way that CW was Captain America 3.

Why aren't they moving forward with a Man of Steel sequel since Superman now is acting like Superman should be? Come on, we've yet to see Brainiac in a movie yet, his rogues gallery is more than Zod and Luthor. Because the brand was damaged by BvS.

I'm going to say this one more time. Superman isn't as big as you think. If he was actually the number one or two most popular superhero, there would be nothing standing in their way. The problem is, even though everybody knows who he is, everybody also thinks he's boring as fuck. Please understand this, and stop being so surprised. Superman – Over 600 million comic book sales worldwide. Biggest selling solo superhero in the history of Comic Books
Superman 50s TV show = a hit
80s Superman 1 and 2 movies = Hits,
Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman 90s TV show = a Hit
Smallville 00s TV show= a hit.
It is not a matter of Superman being boring as fuck, it is a matter of Hollywood screen writers being boring as fuck continuously using the same villains over and over again instead of more of his other popular villains like Braniac, Atomic Skull, Darksied, Bizarro, Maxima, Parasite, The Eradicator, Lobo, Metallio and Imperiex in movies. The fact that they thought fans wanted to see Lex Luthor over and over again shows a clear level of stupidity. A lot of fans wanted to see different villains and were sick to death of him. ‘Smallville’ was the very first time we got to see a lot of his villains on screen and the fact the last successful and really popular adaption of Superman was on TV with 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' and not in movies shows Warner Bros are hiring suck. You may have forgotten but the ‘Supergirl’ TV show debuted to higher ratings than any other comic book show since ‘Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’ in the 90s and ‘Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was not only one of the biggest superhero TV shows of the 90s it was one of the biggest TV shows of the entire decade period bringing in higher ratings on a weekly basis than many TV shows that have been called the greatest of all time.
The funny thing is since ‘Lois and Clark’ no other comic book TV show has been able to compete with it in ratings or has been half as popular as they pointed out on ‘Sunrise’ when they had Dean Cain on the show earlier this year and there is no question Superman can still draw – if they go through with Season 5 of ‘Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman Season 5’ like Dean Cain, Teri Hatcher and the show runners are pushing for watch the ratings beat every single DC and Marvel TV show in two seconds flat. I know how many fans loved Dean Cain's Superman and Tom Welling and Henry Cavill were nooo Dean Cain nor did they get their pictures all over front covers of newspapers and magazines and win awards for being the sexiest man on TV but that is another story. Superman is the biggest selling superhero of all time and the fact they can't get it right on the big screen anymore but can on the small screen doesn't show Superman is "as boring as fuck" as you claim but shows Hollywood are fucking useless but when we arere talking about an industry that has spent the last decade leeching off the success of other people with countless remakes and reboots and movies of old comic book characters created by writers who are long gone (or just about gone) why should we be surprised?
Hollywood is no longer the industry that was once described as innovative or pushed the boundaries and took risks and instead has turned into a business that plays it safe all the time. While there have undoubtedly been some good movies in the past 10 years many of those are are outweighed by the sea of remakes and reboots. The ’50 Shades of Grey’ movies are a good example of the problem with Hollywood. These were movies according to my friends who were fans of the novels should have pushed the boundaries and been very controversial but the high up prudes wouldn’t even allow them to show a penis in them so instead we got a movie that was voted the most boring movie of 2017.

So TV shows aren't an indication that something will work on film, neither are comic sales, and yes, Superman is boring as fuck. That's why they always use kryptonite on him.

Yeah. It does. When Superman is successful in every single other field and has had successful movies in the past it doesn’t take a scientist to figure out where the problem lies with the current movies we are seeing of the character on the big screen. This isn’t some random character we are talking about now – this is the biggest selling superhero of all time. A superhero Stan Lee even said the entire superhero genre would not exist without ‘cause his success launched hundreds of other titles and before Super Man comic books were mostly made up of Crime, Horror and Romance. In today’s so called ‘Golden Age of Superhero movies’ there is something seriously, SERIOUSLY wrong when Hollywood can’t get the biggest selling superhero done right on screen and that is the thing. If a brand of chocolate does not sell it isn’t ‘cause chocolate isn’t popular, it is ‘cause the chocolate you are selling is shit.
And that’s what we are seeing with the current Superman movies. If they were ‘good’ movies and they flopped and the MCU beat them I would agree with you 100 percent that it was ‘cause Superman was boring but these were not ‘great movies. They weren’t as good as ‘Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’ and they were not even as good as some of the episodes of ‘Smallville’ so I have to wonder what did the MCU defeat with Superman except for a pack of incompetent Hollywood screenwriters making movies of Superman that a 12 year old playing with their action figurines could come up with better stories of ‘cause every time Superman has been well written by ‘good’ writers it has not only beaten Marvel but slaughtered them which is why Spider-Man only has around half Superman’s sales.
The overuse of Kryptonite over other villains like Braniac that don’t need Kryptonite to be a threat to Superman is just another example of Hollywood’s incompetence to write ‘Superman’ movies. They proved it could be done in ‘Smallville’ and James Marsters’ Braniac was a far better written villain than the majority of villains in the DCEU and MCU. 'Smallville's Doomsday was also better than Doomsday in 'Batman vs Superman' and John Shea's and Michael Rosenbaum's Lex Luthors were better written than Gene Hackman and Pedo Spacey's versions but this is Hollywood we are talking about which is supposed to be home to some of the greatest filmmakers of all time and you are telling me they can't write anything better than 'Lois and Clark' and 'Smallville' on TV shows 'cause if that is the case perhaps the TV show writers should be writing the movies 'cause if they can't write a 'Superman' movie with a villain like Braniac they shouldn't be working in the movie industry period.

... and some announced movies aren't included such as 'Cyborg' and 'Deathstroke'. TEXT: While holding a panel at Comic Con Experience 2017 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Warner Bros. revealed its upcoming DC Comics-based movies that fans can expect to see; this included films that have been expected for a while, and the absence of several key projects. A Wonder Woman sequel was the first to be presented with a title card, though it opted to not title itself “Wonder Woman 2,” leading us to believe the film will ultimately be titled something else. A title card for Aquaman soon followed, which makes sense as it’s Warner Bros.’ next DC release. Other title cards displayed at the convention included Flashpoint, Suicide Squad 2, Shazam, Batgirl, Green Lantern Corps, The Batman, and somewhat surprisingly, Justice League Dark. It’s possible that these movies are those that have been confirmed to be moving ahead at the studio, with it hoping to redeem itself after the critical and financial failure of Justice League. ...It’s a promising sign that the studio is finally establishing a long-term creative vision. That’s in spite of recent reports another corporate restructure is in the works. We wouldn’t be expecting Warner Bros. to push their film slate unless they felt it wouldn’t be affected by the restructure. That said, it’s interesting to note the studio hasn’t greenlit any other projects since July. There’s no mention of Cyborg, Deathstroke, Gotham City Sirens, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, or the two Joker films believed to be in the works. Now, it’s perhaps understandable that Martin Scorsese’s Joker origin movie would be omitted from the list. The film won’t be set in the DCEU, so we wouldn’t really expect it to appear in the DCEU slate. But the other omissions are far more surprising. It suggests that, for all the rumors and news, none of these movies have actually progressed beyond initial discussions. We may well see a few of these projects dropped. (Screen Rant) All I can say to this is, DC fans, get ready for hell and high water. Hell and High Water was an excellent film, so... (giggle)
