We will write a postcard to our friends and family in free verse On the road with Kerouac Sheltered in his bivouac On this road we'll never die.
River's lyrics have always been silly, and sometimes his self-deprecation borders on gross, but he's written about three dozen great songs.

Ha, well, it is certainly just my opinion. I liked pretty much every song on the first three albums and a couple off the red album. I did not care for their other albums.

And c'mon, that Buddy Holly music video was spectacular. Brian Bell giving the old tongue fap when he mouths "I love you."
And then at the end when Al asks how the fish was. "That's not so good, Al."

It took a while to grow on me, but Buddy Holly became one of my favourites from my Kerrang channel -watching period. I heard a few other songs by them around the same time, but they were pretty insipid.

Already knew some of their songs, but wasn’t that familiar with the band. Decided to listen to their first album and I ended up ordering it. The last song (Only in Dreams) is great.

First album is their strongest, no doubt. Agree. Pinkerton could have been nearly as strong, but they really screwed up the production on that album.

Agreed. One of the top 10 best videos of all time.
On the show "Undateable", they used to broadcast live. And, each week, they would have a musical guest who would open the show. Weezer was the musical guest one week.
It was inviting to see they are still going strong.
I will also add:
Even after all these years, Rivers Cuomo is still.....the......man!

Ha, ha, I've always considered Rivers "not the man." And that's part of his charm. I love the insecure artist. They always produce something worthwhile.
