WELL I DID SLATE HIM AT THE START AND DISPITE BUMBLING IN SOME GOALS with ease at the start (without to much skill)
he has done nothing (now) to show that martial and rashford will not overtake him very soon. both look so damm good in comparision.
however good interim buy i supopose- he is that big player that gets in to good positions with speed and strength though - i think he was overrated as a finisher and underrated as someone with the ability to get in to great spots his team mates can find him ands get round defenders.
but rooney has 8 pl goals(same as Lukaka) ! yes in a free role, not a ronaldo stay next to benzema on theedge of the box role! or a neymar no defending free role!! - I think when you let rooney crack on and fight all over is when you get even more goals from him.
Fat Sam has confirmed he has a free role and if he can play midfield like he did v that hatrick game more and more and hit them diags(last game) (only wilshire can get close to his range of passing in the England team ) i would have him in the WC.

If Lukaku played under Fergie when it was expansive, attacking football, he'd be awesome.
Under Mourinho, he's being asked to do too much. We'd have been better off buying Costa.
