Couldn't Disney just use the Fox name to release those movies? What's stopping them? Disney has released R rated movies, so nothing is stopping them at all.
Also, there are only a couple of properties that would benefit at all from it. Logan wasn't any better because it was rated R for instance.

Yeah, it's one of mine as well. They probably said "fuck" one too many times hence the R rating. I don't there was anything graphically violent or sexual in it at all. I still find it hilarious that the f word earns an R rating. I can see why movies like 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Goodfellas' earn a R rating because of the swearing and many sexual uses of "fuck", but yeah, I don't get why 2 F bombs are okay (I think that's the rules?) but anything above 3 is a no no.

Couldn't Disney just use the Fox name to release those movies? What's stopping them? Yeah, when people talk about Disney they seem to think that Disney only makes kiddy movies. Well the truth is that under different names Disney makes ALL kinds of movies, including R rated. Disney is not stupid enough to apply a kiddy sensibility to everything they own. When they bought Marvel I knew Marvel would be fine and sure enough they have been.
AND I don't think its outside the realm of possibility that MCU itself might make some R rated movies seeing as how Deadpool and Logan were so successful. Feige has said that he's open to it. MCU movies already allow for foul language and some violence, so...

Only Nolanites are obsessed with dark R rated films. People who think R ratings are the only thing that makes good movies are morons. A good story and interesting characters count for a lot more than the rating. Christopher Nolan has never released an R rated film. No, but his fan base is obsessed with him making an R rated Batman film.

Exactly. There's nothing stopping them from either using Fox's name to release it or starting up Touchstone Pictures again.

Was their last movie Need For Speed? You're right, I double checked. I figured they might be closing up shop since they haven't made anything since last year, but it seems they have another project coming in 2019. Though it does imply they're not exactly in great shape.

And while it does seem a waste to keep Deadpool out of the MCU, I think he's better off by himself, anyway.

Deadpool can make little cameos here and there as a joke, but don't put him in an MCU movie just cause.

What was the topic again? About why everyone is worried we won't see a rated R Marvel movie.

Give Ryan Reynolds a Deadpool series on Netflix! You know he won't return to play Deadpool if they do that.
