That's for sure and for certain, sadly. I wish I understood why. Do they stay ignorant because it's what they know and are used to, and logical analysis is too much effort? Are they scared by the thought that there is no 'sky father' and therefore no plan, no afterlife, just the here and now? And their here and now sucks, and there is no heavenly reward to look forward to? |

They are looking for an excuse and out to believe in something, to absolve them from their own suffering and purpose of being here in this realm. If they accept Jesus as dying for their sins, then they don't have to take responsibility for their own actions. They get to pass the buck. If there is an afterlife, at least they get to go there because they followed Christs lead.  |
