Went and saw this in the theater with a friend about 2 weeks ago.
Did not know a thing about it except it was the Director of 'Dogtooth'.
Wow, I enjoyed it much more than I expected. Not for people who are squeamish.
Damn if Colin Farrell has not won me over at this point in his career. He was great.
The theater was half full, nobody walked out. A few laughs during the movie from some awkward dialogue and extremely dark humour. At the end of the movie everyone seemed kind of stunned so I yelled out 'YEAH!!!' and pumped my fist which got some laughs.

i really liked it too. Worthwhile movie. So I take it you were happy with the ending?
Just wondering, have you seen In Bruges? Has Farrell not won you over there already? Or in Seven Psychopaths?

Interesting movie. I like how Farrell is trying new kind of roles recently and I must admit he does succeed very well. The Lobster ( www.imdb.com/title/tt3464902/?ref_=nv_sr_1) was also a pretty weird movie at times and with this, he is showing his range. Not perfect but I would say it was a solid 7.5/10

I really enjoyed the ending. I liked Farrells character, I thought the scene where he goes to his kids principals office and asks him 'Out of my two kids, which one would you say is better if you had to choose' summed up his character perfectly . I found that scene heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time.. so awkward. So the ending fit right in when he still did not want to be responsible.. ..him spinning around with the toque over his eyes and taking 3 shots to hit a target is something I will remember for awhile. Oh yeah, I really liked In Bruges too.

The film benefits from actors with limited ability, if more expressive actors were cast the awkwardness would have been too much.
