Both the X-Men series seem to go stale by the third installment (the solofilms seem to get better). Personally I'd welcome their inclusion in the MCU

I hope so. I love the X-Men movies but I'm ready for those characters to be rebooted into the MCU. I didn't like it at first, but yeah. 20 years is a good run for one property, Jackman's Wolverine had a perfect send-off, and they're getting a second chance at Dark Phoenix. I'm skeptical MCU's X-Men will be anywhere as good (I like how seriously the Fox ones take themselves without falling into the uber-dark edgelord trap), but throwing them in with other Marvel characters is something I'm now ready for.
