Nah, they're one good Batman movie away from being back on top. They'll ALWAYS be one good Batman away from being back on top. You'd best not forget that. One good Batman equals ten years already. TDK is that old right. #teamcolden Just about! Damn, time flies.

All it took to stop the League was Thor and the Hulk. DC has damaged it's brand by taking its' fans for granted and assuming they'll go see anything as long as it has Superman and Batman's name attached. Now the fans know better and DC has to make actually good films. Nah, they're one good Batman movie away from being back on top. They'll ALWAYS be one good Batman away from being back on top. You'd best not forget that. Nope, they've damaged their brand to the point merely saying Batman is in the film isn't enough. People are wising up, and even Nolan couldn't save them now.

I think Thor: Ragnarok kicking the crap out of Justice League is proof enough to back up formersamhmd's claim.

I think Thor: Ragnarok kicking the crap out of Justice League is proof enough to back up formersamhmd's claim. It isn't. It is, DC's biggest guns couldn't win against Thor and the Hulk. And then the Infinity War trailer by itself got more views in a few days than JL did in months. The DC Brand is damaged.

Batman will not always dominate the box office anymore, and the X-Men will have to take turns being in the theater with the rest of a cinematic universe.

Dude, it took Nolan's Batman two tries before he get a huge hit. Batman Begins had to win back the crowd through word of mouth over its theater run and home release. It will take more than one good Batman film for audiences to move on from begin disappointed by the DCEU Batman so far.

It doesn't matter how many attempts it takes the studio or any specific director. Batman will be back, and better than ever.

As the Joel Schumachar films proved, audiences will only put up with so much before they stop going to a certain property if it keeps sucking. And besides, even if Batman makes a comeback, that won't stop the MCU from succeeding, too. It didn't top Ironman in 2008, it didn't stop The Avengers in 2012, and it won't stop whatever's out around the same time as the first Batfleck film.

It doesn't change Batman's place as the undisputed King of Comic Book Movies; the Dark Knight may allow the MCU a hiccup of a run, but in the end he will reclaim his throne whenever he feels like it.

He's already been beaten by The Avengers all together, then by Captain America, and now Thor. It is very possible to challenge his throne now.

That was all to lull the MCU into a false sense of complacency. The Dark Knight has the MCU right where he wants them. The only challenge to his throne could possibly come from the new XCU, which will rise like a glorious Phoenix (get it?) from the ashes of the ill-fated MCU, which is as good as over with. Innit?
