1. They said they put her in there. They never said they turned it on.
2/3. We could always find out Kylo was lying/wrong. Or maybe the force just works in mysterious ways. She could even be the Chosen One - remember that bs? Seems neither Anakin nor Luke did a very effective job bringing balance to the force.
4. Yeah, that blew.
5. Aren't the students he took from Luke that are referenced supposed to be the Knights of Ren? I suspect they're being saved for 9. It's not like TLJ didn't have enough characters.
6. Well, how so?
7. It's Star Wars. A lost limb is like a flesh wound, so they could probably treat him getting slashed in the back with similar ease.
8. He'd just killed his dad and taken a hit from a bowcaster, so he might not have been mentally or physically firing on all cylinders in that forest fight.
What Lucas was trying to present in the prequels was great...as executed in the TV series Rome. His disasterous attempt and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee.

Well, FORCE AWAKENS was incredibly stupid... and I'm not talking about the laughably infantile, bullshit criticism of the Rey character. (Rey was one of the few good things about FA.)
All new SW films are "see it on STARZ" material as far as I'm concerned.
(Actually, there hasn't been a good SW film since 1980.)

Don’t attempt to change my opinion. This is a message board. Discussion is kinda the point.

Anyone else notice that the Disney star wars films so far have decreased as they go along? TFA, almost good. Rouge one, worse The last Jedi, from what I heard still worse. Solo, probably worse still...
It's not lookin' good people! It's not lookin' good. amiright?

And I dont think Disney gives a shit. I dont know if they are just mental or they feel they will make money in other things. It is weird. Kind of scary, the lack of competence/connection/understanding combined with unlimited money.
If it was a small studio making this, you can bet they would have thought about audience tastes, not SJW propaganda.
