All that money, all those ‘brains’ and they hired a guy who didn’t even care to familiarise the story of who was who re: rebels, resistance and Republic to write a script that laughed in the faces of anyone who would try to get involved with the story behind the film. And don’t think JJ will do an appropriate job of cleaning it up.

I'm tellin' ya, they're running out of Star Wars films to rehash...

What will they do in the third? A Starkiller base in construction? A truly capable writer would see Kylo and Rey as the ultimate power couple villains with Kylo finishing off Rey just before she kills Finn. But it won’t happen.

A Starkiller base in construction? Part ROTJ, part TFA 2.0, and, for originality, the third part will take inspiration from Abrams' ass.

Clearly Disney's interested in Jedi kids and porgs. Just get the adults out of the way first...

Because Abrams never intended for those questions to be answered in the first place. It was all lots of dead-end mystery box (which Jar Jar Abrams is notoriously famous for). And that's exactly why Rian Johnson didn't bother to answer most of it. Could you imagine how long TLJ would've been if he tried to?!? Probably well over 3 hours! I don't blame Rian Johnson for ignoring it. I blame Jar Jar Abrams for creating a bunch of it in TFA just to hook fans with intrigue. Intrigue that he full well knew had no purposeful destination, no direction to vital storyline revelations, no genuine character development, and no satisfactory closure! I told people this was going to happen!! Either Rian Johnson was going to damage the movie's pacing and story development by trying to spend too much time on tying up Abrams mystery box questions... or he was going to largely ignore them! And audiences would once again get screwed over by Jar Jar Abrams' mystery box questions that dead end to nowhere.

If everything we saw in TLJ was undone and all the dead characters were miraculously alive. I'm not one to say that the mysteries in VII couldn't have been paid off. Any mystery can be closed in an intelligent, succinct way. Hell, I read some half a dozen ideas on this forum that blew Rian Johnson's joke of a script out of the water.
