You know what I am noticing.....
All of the Fans of "THE FORCE AWAKENS" liked it because it brought back and stayed true to the "STAR WARS" Universe and Formula and it felt like a "STAR WARS" Movie while All of the Haters of "THE FORCE AWAKENS" didn't like it because it didn't bring anything New to the Franchise.
However, When it comes to "THE LAST JEDI".....
All of the Fans of "THE LAST JEDI" liked it because it brought something New to the Franchise while All of the Haters of "THE LAST JEDI" didn't like it because it didn't stay true to the "STAR WARS" Universe and Formula and it didn't feel like a "STAR WARS" Movie.

At some point, Hollywood has to stop trying to please the fan base. We're too fickle for them to coordinate multimillion dollar tentpole films to the letter every single time.

I think some franchises should stop at a certain point, even if going well, before the fan base gets too big. The more big something becomes, the more people get involved in it, the more pressures you face, etc. Cut it off before it loses its purity.

But at least at that time the franchise didn't have generations of passionate fans behind it that have studied and critiqued its every move. lol.

i don't really like the characters and actors. i may have accepted the plot more if i liked the casting. i can't accept not seeing the original 3 not back together at least one last time.

I've never felt TFA was as much of a retread as some have said. I enjoyed it because it was an enjoyable and well executed film.
As for TLJ, I have nothing against change, in fact, I fully welcome it. The problem is, while I thought the films was ok, it felt kind of forced(no pun intended) and soulless to me.

I mildly liked Rogue One ( when Vader went HAM as fuck with the light saber , damn that was badass at the end) but both TFA & The Last Jedi sucked big time.
Rogue One 7/10
TFA 4/10
Last Jedi 3.5/10
I'll most likely skip out on Solo and the other installment in theaters

Funny thing is, I have the same gnawing feeling at the end of this one that I had at the end of The Empire Strikes Back some 37 years ago. This one wasn't as good as Empire, but it sure is making me think the same way and hating the wait until the next one comes along. So if that was the purpose of the film, then well done Johnson!
(He still could have done a little to tidy up the questions from TFA instead of ignore most of them, the stinker!)

I think if they wanted to experiment with other genres like slapstick comedies they should have done it with the spin off films not with the main saga which should’ve been kept pure and tina higher standard of story telling

A lot of people seemed to have a problem with the humor in this film, but I wasn't bothered by it at all. I thought it was fine. I mean we didn't have Jar Jar stepping in poop.
