Did any of you go to a midnight screening or a screening with a large crowd? I was curious as to the crowd reactions to the film for certain scenes and especially when, um, certain special characters show up.

Flawed as they are, and they are flawed, I like the prequels. lol. I like them too. I second that. Palpatine's rise and the Jedi/Republic's fall are some of my favorite B-movie narratives of the last few decades.

A lot of people seemed to have a problem with the humor in this film, but I wasn't bothered by it at all. I thought it was fine. I mean we didn't have Jar Jar stepping in poop. Agreed. The only moment that may have been a bit too much was the Poe/Hux scene at the start, but besides that I actually liked all of the humor.

In my humble opinion, the prequels had more of a Star Wars "feel" than The Force Awakens. TFA felt like a post-2007 Marvel movie with gratuitous, self-referential humor.
