Two different casts are plenty enough for me, thanks.

Depends on the age that they're going for I guess. Magneto needs to be someone who looks hard, no-nonsense. I'd love to see Stephen Lang as an older Magneto.

I wouldn't mind if they make Xavier and Eric younger in the modern MCU.

Nothing wrong with a character actor, most of them are talented than the leads.

I doubt they'd have issues hiring character actors.

Bringing back Marsden, Jackman, Famke, McKellen and Stewart would be awesome!
But I just want the X Men to take a break. The MCU already has more than enough characters!

They don't cast nobodies now. I think the only unknown they cast really was for Thor the rest had decently recognisable actors, which the still do I mean Cumberbatch & Saldana are the only people I knew of by name prior to joining the MCU in terms of leads, since Disney brought marvel atleast, the rest are recognisable faces who became recognisable names after getting their gigs in the MCU, I knew the names of the supporting cast more so than the leads prior to the movies being made for the most part.
Marvel doesn't need names it needs people who can carry the roles, Marvel is the star at this point.

Regardless my point still stands, no way the MCU casts an unknown to the role of Magneto now.

I just don't think that they deliberately were going for "Unknowns" before.

RDJ was box office poison when he got cast aa Stark I would say it was more risky with him than an unknown. Stars are becoming a thing of the past

His movies didn't do badly, and he was never lacking for work despite his drug problems (because he never let his drug problems interfere with his work, he was always on time and knew his lines, etc).
