There really is nothing left unless you are Rey/Kylo fanboys. OT characters are gone or dead. Nothing even left to discuss. Lol at some SW fans who wasted time on coming up with theories about Snoke, you might as well been obsessed with the porgs.

Abrams will totally rehash ROTJ. Episode IX will start off on Jakku. Leia has been frozen in carbonite. Everyone sneaks in trying to rescue her but fail. Rey shows up to save everyone and kill Unkar Plutt. But carbonite Leia somehow dies before ever being unfrozen. (That takes care of the issue of Carrie Fisher needing to make a living onscreen appearance to explain her fate as Leia). Then they all fly off to stop Kylo and blow up his new Starkiller Base. Yadda yadda... the end! But by this point I don't think anyone will be showing up in big numbers or making repeated viewings except Disney warrior princess fans to see Rey. Jar Jar Abrams whole formula for making SW movies will have worn thin with everyone else.

There’s always hope. But Jah Jah isn’t the man to do it.

Rian Johnson just returning the favour.
God, what to do with the romances? Finn didn’t show any true feelings for Rose, who is creepily obsessed with him and dirty old Poe wants to poke Rey who likes Tardboy. Then there’s Maz who likes any being with a dick. JJ’s only options are no romances or very awkward ones.

JJ is screwed...was one of my first thoughts. Where in the eff can the trilogy go now after that utter mutilation?

Now a of couple days later, I think I could sit down and watch TLJ, wince at the stupid stuff but slowly accept it. Like the stupid stuff in the prequels. Also Kylo is interesting enough. Lando may appear. Who knows?

Without that counterbalance, he's nowhere near as interesting a character. This leaves Rey - who I still like, but not nearly as much now that she is also without tether - Finn who I don't like, Rose who I don't care about, Poe who I don't care about and Hux who was ruined in this movie. I actually liked Hux in TFA, but what Rian did with him in this movie was disgusting. I thought I went to a Star Wars film, but as it turns out, I was watching a Mel Brooks production.

And also we don’t have any formidable enemies. There is only Kylo now.

With Snoke around, I held out hope for some kind of overall trilogy plot or even - fingers crossed - a link to the original six. Nope. Now we are guaranteed three movies that have nothing coherent to do with one another and nothing at all significant to do with the original six.

Maybe Hux can get a couple of buddies and they can be like the Three Stooges. But this situation does suck. We may get a new dark force user, just like Dooku or Greivous, to hang around for a film and then fuck off, but like Dooku and Grievous they weren’t part of some grand plan from the beginning. They are just making it up as they go, just like the prequels.
