Uh, the latter is a "given" because it was literally given to us in the first film of the saga as an example of what can be achieved by the Force. The former has never even been implied in canon and the reason everyone is rejecting it as an idea is because canon is very clear about how the Force works (well, I should say, it was until the ST and now they've mucked it all up) and that ain't how the Force works. Force users aren't akin to mutants in the MCU. They don't have the Force flowing through their veins. They have midi-chlorians flowing through their veins which they interact with. In turn, those midi-chlorians interact with the Force. The logistics of this negate the possibility of what you're suggesting. But don't worry! I'm sure Disney will continue to evolve the Force into what you're talking about, in fact, I think that's precisely what those damn dirty apes intend to do. So if someone hypothetically harvested Anakin Skywalker's organs, they would become the most powerful Force wielder to have ever lived? No. It's a three-way symbiosis. Before the PT, it was only a two-way symbiosis, but now it's a Dirty French three-way. Midi-chlorians bridge the gap between flesh (sentient beings) and spirit (Force). They require living flesh to survive. They die with the host, which, simultaneously, means they are disconnected from the Force since the Force is what gives life to the flesh. Anakin's body is useless.

Another issue to discuss:
Snoke brought together the minds of Rey and Kylo in a bid to manipulate them. That means he also united their minds with his own as he was the one doing the deed. A kind of three way mind meld. All this over many light years that separated them, and seemingly with no sweat.
Yet Luke cant cast an illusion without dying from exertion?
Wouldn't Luke be as strong in the force, at this point of his mastery, as Snoke?
Thoughts? LOL!!!!! How the fuck would I know? I don't know SHIT about Snoke, lol!lol! lol! /maniacal laughter shifts into should-heaving sobs of sadness Exactly!! Why pose hypothetical questions about Snoke when we don't know jack about him!?! I could say Snoke is Plageus and it wouldn't mean jack! I could say Snoke has lived 10 times as long as Yoda and trained more than all the Sith Lords who ever lived combined. So no Luke isn't. I could say Snoke is a boy Force using wunderkind who has that disease that makes kids look like old people. So Luke should be farther along. Heck, throw a fart into the wind and see if flies! Make up anything you want! Whatever say is right! Or whatever you say is wrong! Cuz... Just because, okay! And because Disney gave us nothing to go on Snoke, any "just because" answer is as good as anything or nothing at all.

He only asked for an implication. I just find it amazing that NOBODY here agrees that Yoda aged to 900 years because of his connection with The Force. And also that they are SO opposed to the idea that they need to argue actively AGAINST it. Wow, first we got a TLJ fan on the board who can't think of a time Luke watched someone he loved get murdered by Vader. Now we got one who thinks Yoda a.) lived 900 years because of the Force and b.) was honestly suggesting Luke should try it sometime. TLJ was indeed divisive. And I think we are starting to identify both the cause and depth of the division. This is what Disney has done to Star Wars! Sad. Curse you Rian Johnson!! Curse you Abrams!!

Cells don't die during a transplant, at least not most of them. Does that person gain a portion of the most powerful concentration of Midi-chlorians ever recorded? Does Anakin then lose some of his force ability?

Let's say it was before Anakin died. Let's not. Alrighty. You want to debate every moment of the possibility of Leia doing something that has been done in dozens of other films about space... Yet when it comes to the very essence of the pedantry of the force you decide to bail. Whatever you want to believe, go for it.

Oh, I think explaining to you how the Force works down to the microscopic detail should have contented you. Asking me to theorize about the intricate biologic specificity is boring, silly and a little troll-y to boot. I want what you're smoking.

Surviving for a period of time exposed to the vacuum of space: 2001 A Space Odyssey Guardians of the Galaxy Star Trek TNG (a TV show obviously) Sunshine Off the top of my head... Less than dozens, sorry about that. But remember, Star Wars space is a lot more survivable than "Real" space...like with Han, Leia and Chewy on the Asteroid in Empire

Yes. I know. They survived in open space. Did you really think that I meant "Dozens of other films about space have a woman blasted from a starship bridge, float in open space then use The Force to pull themselves in to safety"?

Because I still can't believe that nobody here will admit that it is even slightly possible that the Force might be the reason Yoda lived to be 900. That this epic power between all things might maybe possibly be able to extend life itself if you became deeply attuned to it.

Because you just said it was snark and now you're going back into why it might seriously be a possibility.

I do not think that Yoda saying "When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not" is some sort of hidden discussion to Luke. I get that it is a turn of phrase and was a literal answer to the comment about no implication. But I definitely meant the highlighted part above...have thought it since I saw Empire in the theater in 1982. (The re-release. Saw Star Wars in one of it's re-releases too...I think it was 81)

Hoping for a "Wow, yeah, I hadn't thought of it that way...interesting." as opposed to "You moron! How could you have ever thought that! He isn't special and extra powerful...he's just old!" Of course...this is the internet...

It is the internet after all and it's hard to discern sometimes when someone's just busting balls or just being hyperbolic during a debate. Easy come, easy go on the interwebs.

So the question was about Luke, not Snoke.
