So Kat Dennings is action material but neither Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, or Gal Gadot are. Is that why they've been cast in handfuls of action roles in the past and shall continue to be so? Whereas the most on-screen action Kat Dennings has ever done in front of the camera was running around in the first two Thor movies. That was Hollywoods mistake to cast them in those movies a bunch of women built like Victoria Secret models should not be in Action movies. Kats got curves and with some training she could be convincing in those roles. Most movie goers reacted well to seeing them in those types of roles, hence why they were successful at the box office. So clearly the majority of the movie going public had no trouble believing either of them as action stars. All it would take is some training? I'm afraid it would take more than that to convince people Kat Dennings is an action star, she's too associated playing plain jane sarcastic characters to be taken that seriously in those type of parts, whereas Theron and Jolie are known for a wider range and are more convincing.

The General audience has been brainwashed into thinking underweight women are normal. Anybody with a brain would know its horrible to cast them in action roles. If Kat was given the chance she could pull it off,she can act and is not a stick. Just a little trainning.

Not every actress is guaranteed success from looks alone. Many others have aspired for similar career paths, but have failed in doing so. And dude, come on, depictions of heroines being ridiculously beautiful with slender figures goes back to the days of ancient mythology, and it still persist today. It might come as shallow and stereotypical, but the masses have a type of person in mind when they think of a character in a story, which is why you'll most likely see The Rock lead a movie about a thrill-seeking, secret government agent but not Jesse Eisenberg, or Parker Posey leading an indie comedy about divorce but not Gina Carano. The average weight for a woman in 166.2 pounds, Theron and Gadot are below that as far as I know but are perfectly fine( Definitely not "sticks" as you put it). Okay, in what type of role? I could definitely not picture Kat Dennings as some kind of super soldier or secret assassin or agent, maybe a police officer but I'm not so sure. She's a good actress, but she's better in more down to earth roles.

I finally watched that youtube video. It's interesting, you usually have to talk to a 12 year old to get that sort of insight into a major motion picture.

Anybody ever wonder why majority of traditional martial artists and fencers are actually quite skinny? Even professional soldiers are normally wiry instead of muscular.
And yet for some reason you guys want a bulky Wonder Woman?

I thought that Gadot was perfect for the role and the best part about the film. Still, I do agree that the movie is WAY overrated. Sure, it is good and I enjoyed it, but it was right up there with most good super hero films.
