I've mentioned it elsewhere, but my go-to 80s low budget fun horror movie that most people haven't seen or heard of is Demon Wind. Seems like it was somewhat recently rediscovered, and it's a whole lot of fun. I also see that this movie is on Shudder so I'll check it out soon. There was a different one, but similarly titled, called Evil Spawn which was a bit dull, but had its moments. Not horror, but if you haven’t seen Miami Connection you're missing out. It's also a rediscovery, and it's a blast. It's terrible in all the best ways. Lots of others but these are the ones I thought of first. Miami Connection I actually found a dirt cheap Swedish DVD copy of, back in summer of 2019, and had been putting the film on wait, because of the other DVDs or Blu-rays, was either out of production or very expensive, even for used copies. Loved the film, and thought it was among the few of these rediscovered cheesy 80s and early 90s movies, which actually lived up to all the fuzz, and yeah, another one that I recently purchased on Blu-ray (from 101 Films), was Tammy and the T-Rex (1994), that also lived up to my expectations, or hopes of a real good time. Evil Spawn and Demon Wind sure sounds familiar, in fact I might have seen either (or both?) from some time ago, but most likely from Youtube, and sadly, some of these low budgets films, ends up having terrible sound and picture quality to the videos, and other times, some of these low budget titles, looks really great. Might consider giving one of them another go, as there is something fun and motivating, about stumbling upon these hard to find or rare enjoyable b-movies. As you say, if one is lucky, you get something that turns out to be terrible, but for all the right reasons, and that is why I guess we all love these kind of films. Anyway, thanks for the reply and recommendations.

That one is of a somewhat higher level of budget and professional quality, but also cheesey and fun and cheap. When I saw it the image and sound quality . Evil Spawn is much cheaper, much dumber, and much less professional to begin with, and the version I saw (on youtube) was a poor copy. Watchable, but poor.

Can't remember the name of it. But it's a low budget movie about Rednecks who find an Alien and of course hunt it. I have it on a pan and Scan dvd."BloodTide" starring James Earl Jones in a Greek creature feature is fun. And also one about a group of people who crash in a small Plane. They fortunately find a run down Cabin to wait out the Snow Storm. But bad CGI creatures are in the House. "Blood Predator" I think? Is it Nightbeast? No. "Blood Predator" is from 2006 or 2007. It came on a B movie DVD set I have. God awful Creature effects. But that's part of the fun. And the Wife who swears like a Sailor named Sandy is funny. There's also a scene where two Women hook up. Because who wouldn't do that while Snowed in after a Plane crash?

Prey is interesting because it feels like a sleazy sci-fi film filtered through a Shakespeare theater troupe.
Warren's Satan's Slave is like that too.

I see I have to take some notes for further unseen potential low budget horror "classics" from the 80s, which hopefully is lying around on Youtube. I thought you had seen ‘Nightbeast’? definitely recommend it, if you haven’t. Typical low-budget regional horror, but surprisingly well-made and quite nasty. The acting might fall on wooden, or exaggerated side and there are some slow spots… but when the focus is on the alien it doesn’t disappoint.

The Abomination 1986 Really bizarre, rough around edges regional SOV horror. Can be dry and stodgy, but the gore/monster fx goes all out with numerous WTF moments and unintentionally funny scenes (toilet scene). Strangely enough the opening of the film starts as if you’re watching the trailer of the film with a montage focusing on the gore fx, but there is a reason for it… but it does drag on. At this moment the full movie is YouTube.

However I think you put up either a thread or review of it, some years back, and I have actually stumbled upon it, by a very pricy Blu-ray release, but decided to leave it be. But it seems like one of those early to mid 80s horror-creature features (along with Rawhead Rex), which often is up on Youtube for free. So hopefully I might remember to give it a go one day.

Nice recommendation you got there, as by only watching the trailer, even if it shows every "highlight" within the film, I still kind of want to check up the rest of it. Might have to make a special playlist on Youtube for potential upcoming and unseen 80s and early 90s low budget films, either for more recent viewing, or much later. I guess there is just so much of these shot-on-video titles lying around, but titles like Woodchipper Massacre always keeps me reminded that there is a special charm and fun, if it is done by the right people and talent. Anyway, thanks for sharing with us, this low budget horror-monster film.
