I got the abominable snow monster Does that make me a grinchy type of person? . Being I don't celebrate Christmas I kinda had to wing it on a couple of those questions. In case I don't see you on here over the weekend mszanadu, once again I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

In case I don't see you on here over the weekend mszanadu, once again I hope you have a Merry Christmas! That's a really good one there jayhn1111 . In the end the abominable snow monster had changed his ways and was friends with everyone ( of course he lost his choppers / teeth to the Dentist Elf before that ? ) . To me you seem to NOT be the grinchy type at all but a very nice and kind fellow poster here which also makes being on this forum well worth it too . I got Jack Frost as my quiz result . So what does that say about me here - I turn everything to ice ? Again another rhetorical question here . Again thanks so much jayhn1111 for your very kind words , holiday greetings , and reply here too . Happy Holidays to you jayhn1111 !

Thank you so much for those kind words and thoughts How was your Christmas? Yeah I totally forgot about the snow monster where he became a nice and standup snow monster who changed his ways. Those were my favorite movies to watch this time a year growing up.

Those were my favorite movies to watch this time a year growing up. You're most welcome jayhn1111 I meant every kind word of a very kind poster here too . My Christmas went very well . The only thing I was a bit busy with on Friday was making about 4 homemade vegan ginger breads for my hubby's family and one close friend of ours too . It was the ginger bread that sadly I wasn't pleased with yet everyone I made it for had no problems with it on taste quality - thankfully WHEW ! ( but I will definitely never buy store brand baking powder ever again ) . That selection of movies I chose are also my early teen hood favorites and actually had not watched these in a few years too . It seems the older we get these movies get even better with age as well .

I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your Christmas mszanadu I remember you saying in another thread about the store brand baking powder, but it sounds like it was a big hit regardless. If I ever go vegan I'm coming to you for all the vegan tips and recipes Well, maybe not recipes because I don't cook, but tips lol. That's so cool that you hadn't watched those movies in a few years. It keeps it fresher and a more enjoyable viewing I agree that some movies just get better with age. I have some movies I feel exactly the same about. Now I guess it's on to New years next I need to line up a couple of movies for that night if I stay in. Or maybe I'll do what you do and watch the Twilight zone

Or maybe I'll do what you do and watch the Twilight zone Again jayhn1111 thanks so much for all your kind and encouraging words here too . Being a vegan is definitely a lifestyle choice and can be a bit tricky because of all change overs in food and sometimes personal products as well ( but if it all can be made available than sometimes it's not so difficult either ) . Of course at the same time you don't have to be a vegan to enjoy vegan foods either but in my personal experience you do have to know how to cook too . Although there a few snack & food products out there that doesn't require preparation or cooking either it's out there but sometimes takes a bit of searching too . I certainly hope you will be able to catch the Twilight Zone Marathon this coming Sunday December 31st at 4AM on the SyFy Channel . It will end - Tuesday January 2nd at 4AM the last one will be on at 3:30AM - episode " Four O'Clock (S3, Ep29) " . Still not sure when I will be officially awake for the beginning episodes starting at 4AM . I only wished the marathon had started at 8AM instead like it was a few years ago - oh well either way I will be watching as always .

Yeah I totally respect that lifestyle choice. I guess nearly everything I eat now would be off limits though so I'm not sure I'd be able to do it. I am just a weak man when it comes to certain kinds of food. I can imagine that could get a little tricky at times as well, but it seems like you have it figured out. And a great vegan cook as well. I didn't realize that marathon went on so long. I have a DVR but I think I would need one of those newer Tivos that gives you like 160 hours worth of space and record the whole thing LOL. I guess I'll just have to remember to flick it on whenever I can while it's going.

I have been a vegetarian since 2001 ( I'm actually a vegetarian that eats a lot of vegan foods ) and it's still an ongoing learning experience altogether . These TZ Marathons are usually a couple of days running but as long as it's starts at a reasonable time it's good too . As a suggestion here jayhn1111 ( and in case you don't want to miss this TZ marathon ) if your TV Cable System has a feature for program reminders just set a couple of beginning TZ episodes then you definitely won't miss out on it . ( that's what I did so I definitely won't forget which day it's on ) .

Do you have a DVR box mszanadu? I think what I could do is just scroll through the episodes on the cable guide and maybe set to record the ones that I know I want to watch. I have enough space to where I can record probably about 20-25 episodes. So maybe I can just do a top 25 episode marathon

A DVR is actually the only thing I don't have but that's not a problem for me . I have FIOS selected a la carte package with On-Demand programming and a TV program reminder system too ( that's all I need - I tend to keep it simple ) .

Oh ok, it sounds like it works out great for you. I guess tv watching is kinda like everything else in life. We all have our own special wants and needs. I don't have any kind of reminder system, so I just kinda do searches and set up wishlists and find what I need and set stuff to record or watch movies and stuff on demand. I like your idea of the "mini marathon". Or multiple mini marathons. That sounds good

This should be a lot of fun indeed . I also make something special to eat for this occasion too usually something festive yet really simple and easy too . Of course for the folks who don't cook thankfully the fast food and pizza places etc. are open for business for delivery or takeout too .
