I have heard of an Australian band whose name has something to do with our Milky Way galaxy. However, they're NOT called Milky Way. Ok i did not ask what Australian band you have heard of.

NEVER heard of either band here in the US. Although, I've never lived in New Jersey or Texas. So maybe or maybe not those are the ONLY two American states that both are known in.
Both are good. Wolfmother IS more to my liking.

Crowded House - are they Australian? As they where formed in Melbourne i would say they are Australian. Even if they had some members that where not Australian.

I really like the dark metal band Virgin Black, one of the more unique sounds I've heard for that kind of music. Honorable mentions to Savage Garden and Silverchair, shame we didn't get more material from them.
